Ok look look, lets just think for a second. There are 72 days till christmas. Supposedly the game is coming some time before that.... anyone else ready to endure it all over again? It would have been 19 if the date hadn't been delayed... but cmon lets just try again. Oh and you never know it might get released in november fingers crossed

I couldnt care less. Ive got fallout in a couple weeks. Wake me up when this game is done. I am not reserving, Im not going to keep checking the release date, Im not going to let myself get fired up about it.
Ill just go play forza 3 and fallout and forget about this game until its done. Im not going to sit here and get all fired up to play this game on christmas, to end up finding out its set for a march 2011 release. Nope.

Well, that's exactly what I didn't read after comingghome from work.
Back to the jokes about Gran Turismo 5 being a second Duke Nukem Forever? This really is pissing me off, especially because I'd love to finally get something fresh after playing Forza to death over the last yeah.
I guess it's going to be 2011 before PD and Sony finally manage to release that 🤬 game. That's what I hope for, at least.
You know, I'm starting to think I'll be holding Diablo III in my hands before GT5 now... Well, I could leave GT5 to rot in hell then, at least.
And, well, they'd better have one very, very good reason to do this. But I guess they just took too long to work on the game and couldn't manage to produce and ship it in time. I'd be highly suprised if they actually added something, well, big. Hood view? Huh, I'm not gonna believe it until I've seen it, that's for sure.
So it's back to StarCraft II for the time being, it seems.
Oh, and on another note, to those guys who keep saying they'd prefer a bug free game, a completed game with a delay over GT5 on November 3rd:
First of, it's never, ever going to be perfect. And it's not going to be free of bugs either. No matter how long it's being delayed, there never was a perfect game and GT5 won't be the first to achieve perfection.
Besides, according to that logic, considering the amount of times it was delayed already, it should be beyond perfect by now.

my roommates had them a year ago, I just moved away for college and was gonna pick up one for my dorm. Amazing you went out of your way to search for that

I'm guessing the delay is about an important topic. Something that they don't want us to get used to having, or notice that something big is missing and then patch it up later on. Just speculating of course, but I really wonder what goes on behind the curtain over there at PD. Maybe they will let us Americans buy the Signature Edition and have a chance to win the Merc. Nah, we'll never be able to compete in the GT Academy. My release date guess is December 7th.

I'm not happy, first of all the delay, then USA gets it before Europe, then UK gets it later than rest of Europe, then lack of cockpit views & now more delay. I & plenty of other people have also invested time & money ( cockpits etc ) this mug even bought an overpriced sony 3DTV. How come they cant patch it after release, how come its not a worldwide release date, how come Microsoft can do it??????????

I have to say...all these people crying and saying they're going to cancel their preorder or not buy the game because of this delay...what are they even doing on this site in the first place.
I kind of can't wait for GT5 to release just so this site gets back to normal as, you know, a place for fans of the series and not just a bunch of trend surfers and fair weather fans that will buy it just because it's so high profile and only play it for a few weeks.
If you love GT then this delay isn't going to make you change you change your mind about buying GT5 or hate PD all of the sudden.

I know this are very bad news BUT is it a big difference if we wait 2-3 weeks more ? REALLY we are waiting more then 5 YEARS for this game, 2-3 weeks doesnt change much
AND it was a good decision because there were 1-2 little mistakes in the night/rain racing and maybe they want to change the course maker
If this game would be a normal game i would say this are very very bad news but this is GT 5 , they want that everything is perfect
that is the reason why i personally think it was a good decision, iam happy about that ( but they could realase the game and after 2-3 weeks they could make a update :S )

Isn't this exactly how GT4 worked out? Original launch date in November (which did happen in Japan?) and then a March-ish release for North America?
Best Buy is still taking CE pre-orders online. Probably in the store as well.
