i was told it is a way to rev up the motor and the car will stay reved and not move when your not holding on to the brake

can someone please explain to me how you do this the correct way because im trying to learn this for FF cars

i changed my gas to R2 and my brake to L2 by the way

Hold O
Hold R2 at a steady rate
Release O, maintaining the steady rate on R2
Wait for "go" signal
Push R2 all the way
Done

This will only work for cars with drive to the rear wheels, (RF, MR, RR, 4WD) as FF cars don't have a handbrake to the front wheels, so this method will NEVER work for them.

This is with r2 set as gas pedal?

yea i changed my gas button to R2 since every other racing game is like that and thats what im use to / Smuttysy it does work for FF cars because people i race do it and they tried explaining it but i cant do it

I've never managed to get it to work for an FF car, and can't really see how it could, as the drive wheels are not "locked" by the handbrake/E brake when engaged. The handbrake should only engage the rear wheel, or the diff lock in the case of some 4wd cars.
Fair play to anyone who can get it to work, but I just don't see how it should work. PD messed up again, perhaps? >:0)

yes that will work, but this is eliminating one button so it should help with reaction time. As now you dont have to let off of the brake and hit the gas, just mash the gas.
