If I may put my two cents in...

As much as a lot of us hate on GT5 for not having the proper means to have a legitimate drag race, I still prefer it over Forza 4.

I recently got Forza 4 and tried out drag racing, sure they have an actual game mode for drag racing but I dont like the tuning aspect. Maybe I just got used to GT5

The unconventional way of using ghost/tree and the informal way of organizing or running people is actually fun. Makes it interesting!

For now I use Forza 4 for the circuit racing aspect but prefer Gran Turismo for drag racing.

P.S. One thing that bothers me with FM4 is the ability to change drivetrain, Civics are not meant to be RWD and Ferrari's will never be AWD. Engine swaps are cool though.

I don't normally agree with a SSR7 tuner but in this case, +100 👍

Even if we do get official drag racing events and a strip, I still see myself going to Indy for the "illegal street racing" feel...

And Forza, it wants to be a sim and an arcade game at the same time, both of which it fails to do.

I've never played forza but from alot of footage I've seen it's alot like NFS shift. Correct me if im wrong.

Fail.

Yes that is a "Fail" on the part of Ferrari. AWD Hatch? LOL

Enzo Ferrari will turn in his grave if he saw that.

Find me ONE F40 or F430 or F50 thats AWD?

No, that's a fail on you. You claimed Ferrari's will never be AWD; obviously not. I doubt you've read any of the praise it's gotten either, so I won't discuss it any further.

You totally missed the point of why I stated that.

I used that as an example to make a point, want another one?

Does an AWD Viper ACR exist on planet earth?

Do you see where this is going or are you too slow to figure it out?

Twist it however you wish, your "example/point" you attempted to make made zero sense considering the existence of the FF.

And whats your point?

ohhh... there is one AWD model of Ferrari, my statement is so flawed.

Did you read the rest of what I said? My argument was on the "ability to change drivetrain"... is there an AWD F40, Viper ACR, F430 (or whatever other unrealistic car in Forza 4 you can convert) that exists in REALITY?

Answer that and you will see the light.

Sorry I missed the fact there is indeed an AWD Ferrari, I concede to that. That was my bad, broski.

P.S. Real Ferrari's are not AWD, if you argue otherwise, you are special.

No, but that does not mean it's impossible. There were no such vehicles as a RWD Murcielago (bar the R-GT), but companies found ways to do it in reality.

Your opinion on RWD Civics & AWD Ferraris as a "negative" towards the game, thankfully doesn't hold any water. People believe RX-7s should never have LS1s, doesn't mean it's an actual flaw of any RX-7 with a LS1. Yeah, there are some ludicrous swaps in the game, but A) Doesn't mean it's not achievable, & B) It's also a video game.

P.S. Real Ferrari's are not AWD, if you argue otherwise, you are special.
Let's see, listen to some guy on the internet who has never driven a Ferrari FF (or probably any Ferrari), or listen to respected journalists who have been made a living out of driving cars & cite that it drives exactly like a Ferrari should.

Yeah, I'm the special one.

Don't worry about it broski he clearly didn't understand the reason of this thread.

Oh, I understood the reason just fine. It's his point/example he chose to use that didn't help justify his reasoning.

I'll leave you GT5 fans to go at it, now.

Bye Bye little one don't forget to brush your teeth.

McLaren;6101398]Funny considering you're 5 years younger than me, kiddo. :sly:
So? lol kiddo ay? your a kid yourself bro don't kid yourself. now run back to FM4 and have fun with your NFS shift graphics and unrealistic drive-trains. im gonna be the mature one and leave this thread and get back to work.

You'd think with so many posts you would understand what the OP meant. He is saying that each car is designed to accommodate a certain drive-train. Make a FF into an AWD and the balance is disrupted, more often than not ruining the car.

Ferrari's never being AWD is a legitimate fact. For the 60+ years Ferrari have produced supercars, only a handful of them are AWD. And of course you find the rare third party tuners that take the F40 and turn it into AWD with 20 superchargers, but your missing the point.

Please read the whole post before finding something to complain about next time :)

:bowdown::cheers::gtpflag:Thank you iwin

Yeah... a nice little fight you got there.

What I would like to know is why you prefer the GT5 drag above the FM4? I haven't tried FM4, but from what I saw it looks pretty much better organised than drag racing in GT5. So, why's GT5 better? Only because you can create impossible vehicles that doesn't exist in real life? Gotta admit, a RWD Honda Civic or an AWD Ferrari Enzo would be strange, but after all it's still a video game...

This coming from the guy who told me to brush my teeth & called me a little one? Irony is your middle name.

First off, there's a contradiction there. How is Ferrari never being AWD a legitimate fact when you follow it with, "Only a handful of them are AWD" in the 60+ years Ferrari has been around?

And sorry, but none of them have ever been AWD. The FF is the first & so far, only AWD vehicle to ever exit the doors of Ferrari.

So according to your logic, if I say "Cars are faster than trucks", I would be dead wrong since trucks like these exist?

Just because there is one exception, doesn't make the general rule invalid...

When he said "Ferraris will never be AWD" he took the Ferrari car company history and made a factual statement. Ferrari HAVE NOT made a significant AWD car and therefore is valid to make a statement implying that "Ferraris will never be AWD" since they have not done so already.

You're not even remotely putting that in the same context. You said Ferrari's never being AWD is a legitimate fact. Ok, that's true up til' the FF. But then you said, "Only a handful have been AWD" in their 60 years.

Not only is that not true, but that contradicts your first statement.

According to you, there were a handful of exceptions? :dunce:

Except they did & had been testing AWD technology for the past few years, so no, it is not a valid statement.

This is why we can't have nice threads.

For anyone wanting to make a GT5 v FM4 thread, please do me a favor.

Don't.
