What do you get if you take gold in all the tour events.
I'm stuck at the first event, the one with the Alfa 8C,It's impossible to stay under 1:17:000.. :( is it necesary?!

You don't get anything for getting gold, the only unlocks are the photo travel locations which you can get by just getting bronzes. It is possible to get under 1'17 too.;)

That one got me the most too in that series, but with perseverance, I eventually got it. It is possible to do it with the DS3 controller as I did it. You don't gain any special prizes within GT5 itself, but does count toward the GT5 Platinum Trophy. I'm just missing 3 gold trophies from the Special Events (One in the Sebastian Loeb challenge, and two in the Sebastian Vettel challenge).

There is another one that cause me trouble I'm talking about the Toscana tour event with la Lamborghini..any advice?!

Brake early, and keep smooth cornering and throttle control.

Its pretty easy compared to the Eiger one with the 8C.

That one gave me some trouble too, but not as much as the 8C one. Don't try to enter the corners too fast. You can power out of the corners with the Lambo as it is 4WD, but be careful not to do it too early and end up in the dirt. Do not brake into the corners while turning as it is still a mid-ship vehicle!

Don't linger behind the A.I. as well. Get around them as soon as possible, then make your way to your next target. The A.I. may not be good in certain areas. Take advantage of these situations. For example, in a sweeper (I'm not sure if this track is randomly generated), the A.I. would brake a little, but you can go through flat out, but be prepared for extra heavy braking into the following corner. Use drafting as much as possible as well.

Every second behind an opponent here is one second lost to passing all cars, so every second is vital in this event, and thus a very important rule here. I eventually passed that 430 Scuderia second to the last corner and held him off from there.

I love how most peoplez hate that Alfa Romeo becuase of this event, I share that same feeling :)

Got 6 golds to get left in GT5 as I got golds in everything else and this one is one of them :(

Good job on the Eiger challenge.

On the Toscana you just need to drive smooth, but fast.
Don't try to drift through the corners as you'd lose alot of speed and time.
As stated earlier, brake early and push the gas coming out of the corners.

If you haven't passed the Miura before the left hander before the long straight uphill, restart.
Normally this should be easy, as you can pass it a good 3 corners earlier.
Good luck. ;)

Turn the brightness on your TV up all the way so you can see the road, I just completed this one last night. Still working on the Eiger current time 1:17.017 I think:irked:.

use the RA menu (where you can adjust Brake Bias while in game, driving the car)

learn different Biases for each event, and enjoy your platinum trophy.

The Lambo event is one of those good events in A-Spec, that with more practice, you will gain better consistent times, eventually winning it in the dark, keep your composure, you will only win it at the last corner to the finish line.

unfortunately, the Alfa 8C event is not consistently possible without altering brake bias. once you do, you can then consistently win gold 4/5 times.

Why PD hasn't released new DLC special Events, is beyond me.

I just finish the 3' event.. It wasn't so hard.. With some strange car settings but it worked..(Manual Gear, TCS 2, ABS 1, Controller Sen 7 and all others off)

That might be something to do with special events having part to do with getting 100% and people who can't do update won't have to do that to get 100%

Toscana is tough due to low light, but once you get used to the track, it's easier than Eiger was.

The Eiger event is one that helped my driving more than any others. Something about that car on those twisting roads. It took quite a few hours, but in the end it was one of my favourites, for sure.

I guess I must have been lucky with the Eiger event. I bronzed it soon after release, 6 months or so later I went back to gold it, and did it in maybe an hour, even though I'm not a very quick driver. My trick was to turn TC on (at 1 I think) to avoid fishtailing, and give it two quick taps on the handbrake when going round the first corner.

I believe I actually spent more time to gold the Toscana event.

I absolutely started to hate the Alfa Romeo, partially because of the event, although I believe it's simply a horrible car (without driving aids). It just doesn't seem to like steering, whether it's at low or high speeds.

Hey, I was simply sharing my compassion here! *shakes fist*

As others said for the 3rd stage, learn the track, and the car. I thought it was going to be very hard although eventually it didn't take me that long.
Each time I tried it I improved my time, unlike the Eiger event.

Does everyone know that the Lamborghini event is on a different track to what it used to be?

It is much harder now, the only special event I haven't golded, (coming up to 9 seconds behind 1st!) try it now and see if you can do it!

A vid would be very helpful to those of us who are stuck!

BTW adjusting brake balance is the key to Gold in the 8C!

I think in the alfa event you can't adjust the braking balance or do any others setting.. Am I right?!

You can adjust the brake balance if you have RA function setup, at start of run adjust brakes the way you want then restart and they will stay the same until you exit the race and return.
