So unless you race strictly in private rooms with people you know and trust, online play for GT5 is ruined. You never know who's going to be running a hacked car. Sure you have the ignorant people who make it obvious by leaving everyone in the dust going 200+mph in a Beetle, but the smart people won't make it so obvious. They'll stay in the pack of cars, in the heat of the battle till toward the end till they give just enough power to win but not raise suspicion. Since you'll never know for sure now, online play is ruined in public rooms.
So now we have a situation where PD has to slow or stop production of GT6 to come back and fix this issue. Otherwise we'll have the same problem come day one in GT6 of people with hacked cars. Not only for online play, but to easily win every event in offline single player modes.
People think their just having some fun, others are doing it purposely to cheat and win every race, regardless...just like every other game where people use hacks, you're ruining the game for everyone, including yourself, especially when people stop playing because of it and you no longer have anyone to race against.
So now Sony and PD are going to have to lock down the PS3 system and game even more. Even more restrictions of what we can't do with our systems and game. Instead of the PS3 and PS4 saving your game to the HDD, now they'll make it so it saves only on PS3's servers where you CAN'T access your file. And if Sony's servers are down for maintenance, you won't even be able to play offline in single player modes because the game won't be able to access your file.
Idiots never stop and realize the impact they have when they do stupid s**t, how it impacts everyone else including themselves. You want to know why so many manufactures lock down their equipment so the customer can't do as they want with it?? This is just one example why. Now our game is filled with hackers and cheaters and more so by the day.
