GT5 Hardware & Steering Wheel Compatibility?

Here's a quick question. Will GT5 be compatible with Logitech G25 Steering Wheel or will there be a new Steering Wheel designed to be compatible with GT5?

it will be compatible without a doubt.

There is already the DFGT as official GT5 Wheel (Not only GT5P). But the G25 works will just fine :)

"Holocaust_Racer, eh? I beg to disagree."

On Topic: If the past installments of GT tell us anything, I'm sure that even if a new wheel comes out for GT5, older wheels will be compatible. GT4 was compatible with its own Driving Force Pro as well as The Driving Force EX and older wheels; GT5P was compatible with its own Driving Force GT, older wheels AND both games are compatible with the G25 even if it isn't officially supported. Don't worry, man.

ok, so I don't have to sell my g25. thanx

PS
there was no space for "Holocaust_Racing", a small racing team I formed in my hometown with some friends who only have German cars :)

GT5 should work fine with the DFPro. Fantastic wheel. Mine saw plenty of use until I got a G25 which is also just awesome. Now im upgrading yet again to Fanatecs 911 turbo S Clubsport edition wheel as I need something that is compatible with the X360 and options seem quite limited thanks to Microsofts closed peripheral support. I wonder if GT5 will support the pedal feedback that is in the clubsport pedals? Im also curious to see if we get a GT badged G25 from Logitech.

the DFP GT is the GT badged G25 already. They share a lot in common in feel. G25 is still better overall primarily for the pedals.

Although is it actually confirmed that the G25 will be supported. I am a bit worried since for example the GT 3 RS and the old 911 turbo as well I believe have limited PS 3 support. GT 5 Prologue works fine with clutch and all but there is no guarantees for the full game as with the Turbo S and the DFP GT of course.

I would of course expect both the RS and G25 to work but just want to know if it´s been officially confirmed that it will indead work.

I have a DFP and love it except the pedals are pretty awful compared to the G25. Maybe the G25 will come down in price iwth the release of G27? probably wishful thinking! haha

I dont understand why you fear some kind of uncompatibility with all the wheels we know. If we're lucky GT5 will even have the G27 support.

It should being that it's only a bit different from the G25 (from what it looks like).

I hope so because I recieved my G25 from play.com a couple of days ago (still amazed at price £99 brand new) and I purchased this for GT5.

Speaking of the G25 i've asked several questions about this in recent days but with no replies. I hope you don't mind me asking them here and I would really appreciate a reply.:)

1. Im thinking of buying a cockpit from ebay as I can't afford a brand new one. Now just incase the seller does not have the bolts to attach pedals/shifter/wheel what bolt size is required. I downloaded a template from logitech support site and it appears M6 bolts are required but I cannot figure out the length. Im guessing 35mm but can anyone confirm?

2. What are the ideal steering settings i.e power assistance on/off, Amateur/professional/simulation, force feedback. When I say ideal I mean if you want to compete for the time trials.

3. I always knew the wheel would be quicker but some people still seem to be doing things that I cannot do with the wheel. For example last bend on Suzuka E some people on the time trails are able to keep their foot on the accelerator and make the car turn much sharper than I can despite being full lock. I have to lift otherwise I run off the road which TBH is far more realistic. How are they doing this??

Certainly do hope the G25 is compatitible because just having a short time on GT5P makes you realise this game is mean't to be played with a wheel.

-> I think most if not all Logitech/Logicool wheels are compatible with GT5 with little or no issues at all. :)

-> Its just I broke two DFP's (one used, one new). Due to my drifting hoonage in GTHD. :ouch:

-> What I'm hoping for is the G25 GT*, as an official wheel for GT5. While the DFP GT is for GT5P. 💡

^ Imagine a G25 GT! The official wheel for GT5...EPIC PWNAGE!!! :scared::crazy::)👍
