For What It’s Worth: I got a chance to run the GT5 demo at my local Gamestop. I got to run on our favorite track “ the Ring” and I want to give a bit of encouragement to all the Shifters when you get your copy of GT5, the handeling difference between Shift and GT5 are nominal at best. From what I could tell given the fact that I am a spoiled wheel user and I was forced to use the evil D-pad, I felt like I was driving Shift. My last dose of GT4 was on the Ring and my Shift experience allowed me to blast the Ring and get that test out of the way for my level of accomplishment, so now I have a taste of GT5s version, it showed me that they did their homework and gave me what I was looking to find. I got the feeling of elevation change, that was the one thing that I haven’t been able to experience fully w/ GT4 or Shift. The difference in graphics between GT4 and Shift is equal to the difference between Shift and GT5, it just hits you between the eyes “WOW”.

The handling of the car that I used, the Audi R8 with R3s suited up and the traction control set to 5, felt like a mix between GT4 and Shift. I think that if you loved GT4 and found Shift to be a great game you are going to have the time of your life and will feel like your at the Ring.

For anyone who remembers me (as if you'd forget me, right? :P) I've already said months back that once GT5 hits the shelves I would put together a new, better, and longer WTC. 👍

LoLZ @ T12
Expect a group of us then dude.

Somehow I expected you to be one of the first people to respond.

I thought T12 got married and moved out of town :lol::lol:

I haven't gotten married yet, so I'll still be here for a while. :P

World Tour Competition. It started out as a series of time trial races like those you'd find in the WRC (which is what inspired the idea in the first place) and it took place all over during my time with Shift using a specific set of rules, restrictions, etc. The difference this time is that it won't be a series of time trials because everyone who signs up for it has to have a PS3. Unlike with Shift I was separated from everyone else as I had a copy for the 360, and once I did pick up a PS3 copy, I couldn't keep pace whatsoever as the DS3 is very, very awkward to use with Shift.

All the specifics will arise in due time, sometime before the end of October.

It'll be easier to get close races and times this time around since GT5 is a clean slate for everyone. If we can all get down the tuning we could potentially see times be closer together than before. As for me, using the pad with Shift, I expect to switch to a wheel for GT5. I'm sure it'll be a learning curve but I'll manage. After all, it seems the wheel is much better for setting consistent fast laps. I expect to gain a good amount of time with the wheel due to throttle inputs that aren't as easy to do with the pad. No 'tapping' R2 to get through turns with cars of great power. I'll be able to keep up and probably challenge all of you guys if I get the wheel. Just don't expect me to show up as soon as GT5 comes out. I'm going to enjoy the game for a few weeks before playing online.

I was hoping to get some additional feedback from the shifters as to your feelings about the GT5 demo as it compares to Shift, but it's sure good to hear the excitement about the game. I hope all the Dpaders get wheels so you guys will have the same great experience that I know the game is going to give me.

I just got finally got a wheel a few weeks ago, and it makes GT5p a whole different (and better) experience. I was disappointed to find out that NFS Shift absolutely sucks with the wheel. At least with the one I got anyhow (Logitech DF). I gave up on it after about 10 minutes when I realized that the dev's just dropped the ball; the game is just not wheel-compatible.

Anyhow, I'm chomping at the bit, waiting to get the Ferrari Enzo, Pagani Zonda R, and the M3 GTR E92 on the Ring with GT5 and my new wheel. 👍

I 'was' using a DFGT with shift and it took a lot to get use to with its light handeling but when you got into it, it was so much fun. then i got board and started playing GT:P which was amazing! when i went back to shift i couldent belive how bad the handeling was, shocking. GT:P was so solid an responsive, cant wait for GT5!

So is this the great Lefty? Oh no that’s me, or is this the Great SHIFT Champion "arvore"? Oh right it's "erovra", or is it "qirex", no it must be "skodaGTP", no no I'm wrong I think it's "treky". Man this is a fun game, lets see Oh thats right I's "the banned one" "darkos". Dude I was always one of the few people who gave you a little respect and now you step on me like this? I think you should have used a more proper name when you came slithering out of what ever it is, dark hole that you slithered out of. I vote that your next name should be "Richard Head" you’ll be lucky if you last the day, say hi to Beelzebub And Hitler.

How do you know it's darkos.

Edit: Oh boy, what an idiot. Look what he had as his PSN
PS3 Network Gamer ID nWcPL.
The exact same as what was on his old one.

S'what happens when you make a new account thinking no one is going to notice that your effin' information is in your profile.

Honestly, how moronic can someone be?

Considering the fact that lefty had already discovered him. I think he really shouldof got rid of all his info, including that PSN name underneath his name. I wasn't in darkos time but I was reading the old shift league threads and he wasn't very nice at all.:( Was he a good racer?

He had amazing times, times i question you could do with even the best wheel. Like i said before, i think he was one of those guys who had the tuning 'cheat'. Hitting 250mph in the lambo etc.

Ok thanks to PD's delay probably I will reload shift's disc a couple of times on my ps3.. is there anyone who race online in private lobbies? Let me know..
