I'm assuming the bikes in Tourist trophy are modelled to the same standards as the standard cars in GT5, which lets be honest, aren't really that different from the premiums on the outside, so with no interiors to worry about modelling, what's the problem?

The bikes in TT had significantly more polygons than the cars in GT4 and include for example cockpit view ( which had to be modelled ) so they are different than the Standard cars ( not sure they are much different in the way they're modelled though and certainly not up to the Premium standard anymore ).

gt6 = ps3, 1000 premium, nascar, supet gt, wrc, kart, formula1, bikes, all track weather, all track day and night, real track editor, complete livery editor, complete customization (interior/exterior) the complete gran turismo for ps3 : P

Link please.

link: its call logic !

And still, I'm sure that he'd like to know:
Upon what is this logic based?
Otherwise, I'm sure that it is more handy to have something like "I think" or "In my opinion," precede the "logic." People might still want links, but at least your statement's pedigree would be far less ambiguous.

To be fair they don't have 800 cars modeled to GT5 standards.

And why is that?

Oh yeah, It would take another X amount of years to make them premium.
PD didn't have time in 6 years to make more than 200.
Prologue was out around 2008 with 75 or so premium cars.
Even if all PD did was cars for those couple of years we would still be waiting for approximatively another 6 years.

Leave the bikes to another company and work on the premium cars for those who want them in GT6 is what I say.

I would like to see the Isle of Man TT track, though.

And to answer the question about multi-quote posting.
Use the "multi-quote" button just left of the "quote" button in each post you want to quote.

Given the standard cars being (according to PD) good enough to include, I think the bikes from TT might as well be included as a quick port, they were after all better quality models than GT4 cars. A bit of minimal dev time for some biking fun as a side salad can't hurt.

As it has been said, the odd bike whizzing past on a nurb track day would be great fun!

Edit: I've long stopped assuming that PD really understand what constitutes acceptable game models for this generation of the PS3's flagship franchise. Might as well go with "more the merrier" at this point.

Well, even better then! 👍

To be honest I can't see any reason why the inclusion of bikes would be a bad thing.

Except they don't have 135 bikes modeled to GT5 standards. I think you're greatly underestimating the time necessary to add bikes. Once the car portion is perfect, PD can worry about adding non-car stuff imo. Plus, they shouldn't be racing together anyway. If they're not racing together why have them in the same game?

I have not underestimated anything. As already pointed out by a few, the 135 bikes are of the same standard as the 800 standard cars. I never mentioned racing cars and bikes, IMO that would be stupid.

What I know about motorbikes would fit on the back of a stamp. I am niether for or against it. Just trying to point out it would not be as time comsuming for the 3D artists as some would believe.

Guys I have feeling that bikes will be included in GT5 from release. And it's a reason for delay. (Kaz said: Improving some difficult aspects of the game)

I sense either a high amount of sarcasm, or someone that is feeding themselves a huge amount of self-wanted information. lol

Why not just play TT then? Porting over PS2 models is not GT5 standard for me. Especially for content after release. I don't care how little time that takes, every second of it is wasted to me.

And to answer your question 'they shouldn't be racing together anyway. If they're not racing together why have them in the same game?'. Just think about other games (such as Toca Race driver 3) where you have cars from different racing series all in game. You can't mix and match the different cars in those games but was that ever much of a problem?

I don't play other racing games than GT, but that would be a problem to me. In sports games I expect to be able to use all the competitors against each other. I understand having things like an Italian league or DTM races with restrictions but being completely unable to race two cars together is stupid.

Why not have bikes ? even if there only the top 10 superbikes it would not make the game any worse, no worse than having the x amount of pointless cars that will be in.
I can't believe people have a problem with bikes being in this game, as mentioned before if you go to the Nurburgring you WILL see bikes flying around along side the cars..and buses.

I don't know wheather you are asking me or telling me to go play TT? If you re-read my post you will find that I don't care if there is or is not bikes in GT5. Oh yeah, you might be disapointed with NASCAR's in GT5 seeing as you cannot race them against other cars.

Still bikes discussion?

NO BIKES, POINT, NEXT :D

So, what are you planning on wearing on release day?

I have some old IndyCar clown shirts from when I worked for one of the teams. I'm thinking about donning the whole outfit (oakleys and all) as I walk into Gamestop to pick up my copy.

Nascar is pointless, only Americans could invent racing in circles so probably this is going to be one time race. Win and skip to other more interested part of GT5. WRC might be more interested. But we all have to wait

Hate me but I agree. Driving in an circle makes no sense to me :D

Also Americans say soccer is pointless... Here in Europe there is no sport that is more important than soccer :)

So I can understand you guys who love Nascar and are happy about that it´s in GT5 👍
