Hm. "Not decided yet."

Does that mean the game is finished and we're just waiting for the perfect (more perfect?) opportunity to slap it in your face...

Or, does it mean just as it's read; meaning it's about done so they don't really know?

Thanks for the link 👍

It's great to seem him interviewed by a auto journalist rather than the usual gaming journalists, better questions like this

IL: In the full version of GT5, are you going to let players choose different models and brands of tires to alter the handling characteristics of their cars and increase the realism of the game?

Yamauchi: It's very important to do that.

Very nice.

Different tire brands which in turn mean we have tire wear and pit stop back hell ya.. I wounder if pit stop will be in on-line drive?

First interview out.

It's actually a very good read with quite interesting questions.

Wow, nobody can ask the right questions

I would have grilled him about GT5's content and release date

"Have you played Mario Kart for the Nintendo DS?"

This is what you ask KY when the whole world wants to know the release date? I would have at least got a target release date out of him

Oh man :indiff:

He asked about a release date, its a interview with limited questions, he is not going to drill him further.

I’m taking a stab at this, in KY interview after E3 he says WRC one side of the pond and NASCAR on the other. I’m taking it all on-line events will be world event in GT5 if they are being added. I hopping you can only drive race cars in on-line pro events. If we get these baggers and bashers in the pro events with damage no one will finish a race. I hope GT5 will have a better penalty system. I’m sick of the slowing black flag because there are ways around as we all know.

I took that as meaning that GT being a Japanese game he wants more American and European licences to go with All Japan to make the game more international in outlook.

I can see that but why not have all the events world events. If your going to have ever car from evry coner of the globe then you should have all world events.

I am pretty sure GT5's online will be completely different to GT5P, with custom servers, friends lists/clubs and more. I wouldn't be concerned thinking about online world events.

From Globe and Mail interview with Sony Canada Matt Levitan:

Sony showcased several other exclusives as well, including Uncharted 2, MAG, Gran Turismo 5, and others. Is Sony looking at a blockbuster holiday line-up?

The holiday line-up this year looks great.

For me it starts with Uncharted 2. I had a chance to play three-on-three co-op in an internal demo, and I was blown away. That’s probably the number one pick for me.

But there’s also MAG, and Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time coming this holiday as well.

As for Gran Turismo 5, we haven’t released an official date, but we’re trying to get that out this calendar year, so it could be a holiday game as well.

Some of the other ones are a little further off. God of War III, which was really wowing the audience, has been slated for March 2010.

Last Guardian hasn’t been given a date, but that might be my most anticipated game because Shadow of the Colossus [which was made by the same studio, Team Ico] was maybe my favourite PS2 game of all time. I had a chance to see the video we showed here a few months ago, and it was really tough to keep it a secret. It just looks like an incredible gameplay experience.

And then there’s Final Fantasy XIV: Online, which is coming to PS3 exclusively. I only learned about that one a week or two ago, but I’m jazzed. I played Final Fantasy XI for about a year and a half.

So there are tons of great exclusives, four or five of which are set for this holiday season. But we wanted to show some of what will be coming out in 2010 and 2011, and I think we did a great job of that as well.

Perhaps a little off topic but does anyone know what the music is in the GT5 trailer and the GT PSP trailer? Both tunes are really good, especially the PSP one.

(le détail donné dans la liste des courses ne pouvant que laissé penser que cela semble "réel")

Quoiqu'il arrive Gran Turismo 5 arrive mes freres et soeurs gamer!

This is a not so new rumour (from a month ago or so) which is pretty much what Amar said with a track wishlist added, we have already discussed it and it's pretty unlikely.

EDIT, BTW it was posted 27-04-2009.

Question -- Based on the lack of information and talk about GT5 in E3, could this mean that Kaz wanted this event to create all the hype and excitement for GT for PSP (Being its release date so imminent) and wants to save more GT5 details for the TGS? Sorry if this has been discussed, but the topics are getting filled up real fast. Just a possibility I thought of.

Yes I think that's exactly what's happening. With this talk of summer release (although unlikely) would we even reach TGS before the game appears? I know that's wishful thinking. Any time in the next 9 months sounds good to me.

Yes that pretty much sums it up. Was theorising the same thing in another thread (I've even lost what thread that was now) that GT5 will have an announcement at TGS as not to overshadow GT Mobile at E3. Which seems to be holding true as most questions for KY seem to be about GT5. Was a bit concerned though that TGS is still before GT Mobiles release date which might mean if GT5 is announced and released within a few months it might still affect the sales of the PSP Go and GT Mobile for those who could not afford a psp + gt mobile as well as a ps3 and GT5

Looking at this picture,I am kind of confused. 2 cars coming from the North,2 cars coming from the South, and the rest are headed West.Any ideas ? Is this just some kind of off the wall picture / screenshot, does it really mean anything ?

It could mean nothing or it could mean those are the out points of the paddock.
