Have a look at this statement from Play.com:

Please be advised that the release date currently listed on the website, the 27th November 2009, is as given to us by the publisher/manufacturer of the game. Should this release date change we will update the website accordingly, so it is worth checking Play.com periodically.

It could be a standardized answer by Play.com or really the final release date. Time will tell.

I didn't wanted to make a new thread for this. In the video Kazunori talks about GTPSP and GT5. The most interesting part in my opinion is that he says GTPSP will have 800 cars and that you can transfer the ones you own to GT5, so that made me think that GT5 will have at least 800 cars.

oh BTW I don't know how to put a you tube video here. sorry

Nice, thanks for the link!

Yes.. was that not the initial idea of GT:HD? starting with 20 cars or so, and the rest of the cars you could buy through microtransactions.. i thought they had planned 800 cars for that as well.

Pfff.. can you imagine that btw? 800 cars!? that is just crazy if we really get such a huge amount of cars all with detailed cockpit views and upgrades.. wow.

I think it's fairly certain that PD will be making cars for DLC. Maybe GT5 proper will feature about 50-60 cars, maybe even 100 or so, and the rest you get by DLC, for, say, 99p, like you'd pay to download an MP3.

This would mean less development time would be spent on cars, and they could get the game out quicker.

That's what I think... but what I hope is that GT5 will have 800 cars, and PD would release more via DLC.

That's just nonsence. If GT5:P had 71 cars, why would full GT5 have 60 cars? The less news PD release, the more insane rumors are.

that's what they were planning, look up GT-HD loads of people disagreed with it and they scrapped the idea, but they would keep some things from it like customisation with bumpers and stuff like that hopefully

I was reading a post on another forum and it got me thinking about prize money. In prolouge a few hours online can net you a tidy sum of credits.

Im wondering how this will tie in with GT5, part of GT is the grinding, a few hours online and this is gone out the window, 2-3 hours= 200000 credits approx.

How about the amount of prize money, online, linked to your progress offline?

Hi _Spectre_ and welcome to :gtplanet:
Just wanted to let you know that I merged your thread regarding GT5:P data transfer over to GT5 into this "GT5 Latest News and General Discussion" thread, since it's already been mentioned & discussed within this thread.

I won't transfer anything, I will just begin this game from its very beginning and be happy for it.

HA FOR GET THAT JAZZ! i am not losing my f1 car. i would like to restart from the beginning, but not at the cost of that car, because that will be the first time i drive on all the tracks.

(sorry i had no news)

I agree wit h this 100%, could've done it in GT4, but It wouldn't have felt like GT then, and it wont now

Damn straight! The only thing I ever transferred were the lower spec licences; I think I know I can drive by now :P But yeah, scrimping and saving for parts for your first banger is what it's all about. 👍

Well I dont have enough time to play my PS3 a lot nowadays and I like to save time whenever I can. What is the F1 car? Do you win this car or do you have to buy it? How do you win it?

The F1 car in GT5P costs 2,000,000 credits. One of the fastest and least repetitive ways to get the car is to race online, assuming other drivers are nice too :)

While I am not sure why you posted this in the GT5 section, I will answer it anyway. :sly: To be able to get the F1 car ( Ferrari F2007 ) you first have to complete S-Class (get at least bronze on every event ) before you can buy it. It is then available to purchase for 2,000,000 credits.

If you really want to save time, you can download a save game with all the cars. That's what I did, AFTER I beat all the licenses of course :), and a lot of manufacture events multiple times. I just got tired of doing the same races over and over just for the credits. I like just driving in time trial mode most of the time and I wanted access to all the cars. Like you, I don't have much time to play so it got annoying spending most of my time doing races I didn't really want to do.

...sorry, totally off topic there.

C:\Users\Joca22\Pictures\gtprojectcr1.jpg[/URL]-Kay here is the deal I saw a scale of Kaz plan for the gt series i' going to repeat what I saw here it goes: The scale showed GT HD first released in 06 next was showed GT5P in 07 for japan then 08 for america 09 GT 5 full version that's the scale I saw if I had that picture I would show you guys. Also if you remember what sony said when gt5p was getting ready for release that the full game was about a year away for release we should see the game ready by the end of this year!

I am totally like you then, availability timewise. I am almost done with the S-class(bronze ofc) so I am close. :)

Once I beat S, I will start to look on these forums for a link to the save game dl. :)

I have a question!

Codemasters has accquired the official Formula 1 license from Sony since the release of Prologue, so does that mean there will be no F12007/other F1 cars in GT5? :dunce:

Codemasters has the official F1 license for 2009/2010 season (cars, tracks, F1 name). That does not include prior years. Although I believe they are the only ones who have the right to use the title F1 in there game. PD would have to have all their "F1" cars "named" under a different category and there would have to be a separate championship. But if I am not mistaken nothing is preventing PD from acquiring older model F1 cars (well money but thats it).

Yeah that timeline was from TGS 2007 when we just got pretty much full details on GT5P, the extra unlabelled dashes created a lot of discussions.
