It certainly hasn't hurt their sales and popularity with sim fans. I think everyone has come to expect it by now and i for one have just moved on. Wether GT5 has the most realistic engine sounds ever, or not, i will buy it, period. And so will you, and you, and you and you and you! :)
Man I'm a fanboy of GT,ofcourse I will buy it(day one) but that don't forid me to criticize this aspect of the game!!gt for evere

GT5's engine sounds may not be the greatest sounding in all of gaming land, but they are more accurate, since each one is idependently modelled. Every other game will just say "Right, it's a V6, insert generic V6 engine note here".

Uhh, you couldn't be more wrong!:ouch: GT is the prime example of using either same sample for multiple cars, or even worse, wrong engine sounds on some cars!(ie. V6 sound on a V12 car and similar crap) 👎

Get your ears checked, the stock engine notes on every single car is different in GT4, and GT5:P.

FYI I wasn't presenting an opinion, I was presenting a fact. You can't contradict a fact.

I don't know guys. When I look at all of these "Tuned" cars I see hints of how we can customize our cars in the game. I don't think these are just cars you can outright purchase from a showroom. They were "made" using the customizing methods available in the full version.

Just my opinion of course. ;)

To agree with you and the other guys, I too hope these are iTune'd cars, not just Tuned by GT. :rimshot:

Really? Every single car is different? I would be willing to bet you that many of the cars share the same sounds, albeit, modified by PD.
I bet you some nissans share engine notes, same for hondas, toyotas, ferraris.

Even though this is the wrong thread for this, all I'm going to say is XJR-9 and XJ220. End of story.

I'll see you and raise you a Lotus Esprit and TVR Sagaris. ;)

By the way, is this the new sound griping thread?

The Sagaris wasn't in GT4, was it?

I don't even remember.

As for the last part of your statement - No, at least not on my side of things. :D

Look at the side of the TVR...

I think those are Forgiato Radurra Glass Wheels:

And of course... GooodYear Eagle Sports car special tires.

Nope, not a polycarbonate wheel. Notice the "warped" white highlight/reflection to the lower right of wheel center on the front wheel. A polycarbonate wheel wouldn't have that even in motion, besides which, wheels like that are not intended for competitive racing. The invisible wheel effect is especially prevalent when a wheel is black and/or has thin/few spokes. Here's a good example of black invisi-wheel, though, the fact that the spokes are thick and dissimilar in number/spacing provides a darkening to the brake components:

I very highly doubt it. To YOU they may sound similar because they're from the same engine family, but they were all individually modelled.

I've noticed in some of the demo videos, and even in the GT Academy demo that the wheel motion is severely downgraded and unrealistic. I'm not sure if it's because they shrunk everything down and cut extra things out, but from a roll the 6 spoke wheels in the GTA demo turned into 5 spokes.

They did the same in GT5P, it switched into a 'motion' version of the wheel. My guess is to stop interferance with refresh and frame rate so the wheel always appears on screen to be spinning rather than like in the GT5P demo and GT HD where this wasn't included the wheels sometimes appear to stop and reverse etc. Some other racing games do the same.

The illusion of stop&reverse is caused by the aliasing (in the signal processing meaning). If you are sampling at 60 frames per second and the wheel works faster than 30 rps (per second) then the aliasing appears because the Nyquist theorem is not being satisfied (the sampling frequency must be at least max frequency x2) and you will see a different frequency instead of which in fact is. If you are watching directly, there is no sampling so you don't see that effect.

Sorry about my english, I'm spanish XD

With that approach, why bother having this particular thread at all?

Then we would need threads on every little topic. Sound thread is a dedicated thread for sound discussion so that is the best place for it.

Because I get a good laugh reading it.

It's almost like no one ever played GT before with all the "What about this, you think this will be........................whatever".
And look at this......it sucks, what have PD been doing for 5 years.
Unfortunately it seems GT5 is being picked apart and it's not even done yet.
Don't compare the TT demo and Prologue either, as they aren't even full games.
Plenty was left out, especially the TT demo.
Please do complain as it give me something to laugh at, or do the mighty face palm.

I don't watch half the video's anymore, what's the point.
Been there, done that, they are all pretty much the same by now.
The video of the F1 at Nurburgring with sound, there's more going on in the background noise then in the actual video. Good grief.

So I come to this thread to laugh and say OMG, a lot.

Overall, GT5 will be good enough (far above par even) for the price it will get at the cash register.
Come on 60 -70 dollars (or more) for years and thousands of hours of game play, sounds great to me.
It seems most complainers (you know who you are) here expect it to do the dishes for them also.
It's only a game, get on with life and enjoy the game when you can.

I'm not a fanboy, I will be content on whatever PD delivers, as I am now, whenever that is. :ouch:

Do you seriously think that there are things discussed in here that have not, at some point, been discussed elsewhere in a separate thread?!

When GT5 was not so popular as a topic, a general sticky is fine, but now it seems completely pointless. I say this having not visited it much, but it seems to me like a lot of duplication takes place.

Haha, fair enough 👍

And you seriously think every topic and thought on GT5 has a thread for it?...

And even when it does everyone who has something minor to say about every little thing needs to grave dig a thread to post it, clogging up the main forum when it could have just been said in this thread. There has been a few times when I had some minor news and I just posted it here as a new thread wasn't needed.

if it was only für gt psp why does the lambo has scratches ?

That was from the advert they ran, they actually damaged the Lamborghini with the Corvette (it is a real car and real pictures, not game pictures).
