Uhm. That's not what it says. It rather hints at the Red Bull F1 car being included in GT5, because that's the ONLY thing Newey and Vettel both are involved with.

Reading it again you're probably right, I mistakenly read "special" and "Newey" and after his prominance in that trailer I jumped to a wrong conclusion perhaps.
Wishfull thinking ( as I assumed the logical thing was those F1 cars were included because of that and "special" referring to an exclusive Newey design ) which I'm sure you'll forgive me as it was a nice idea don't you think?:)

Like the car transfer thing. You can transfer, but you can only use them in arcade apparently, which is only fair, no cheating with a full garage in career mode :)
I don't mind that so long as you can back up your GT5 game save to an external device.

GT5's career mode is so extensive there needs to be a means to back up your game save otherwise potentially many hours of game time will be lost in the event of a console failure.

If console failure is your concern then you should be doing a full HDD backup, which isn't limited by locked saves. Locked saves might not properly transfer to a new system, but if you are hoping to use the same system then an HDD backup will do the job.

Nope, it sounds exactly like the F430 in GT5p.

I was about to flame this guy and call him a troll...

Except he is right. We've seen vastly improved engine sounds, but this Ferrari seems to have slipped through the net. There is still hope that they have the engine sounds ready and just didn't include them in this demo. Let's hope they are something like what we heard in the trailer.

The SuperGT cars sound exactly like they did in the trailer, and to some extent so did the WRC and NASCAR cars. But the road cars don't.

The problem with the gamesaves is, if there are trophies (Which i'm fairly sure there will be) the saved game links to your online account. So you can only transfer the gamesave (And use it) on another console if you have the same PSN account connected to it (If I remember rightly, it needs to have the password saved for quick-login aswell). But if you want to transfer it to a different PS3 with a different PS3 account, it will let you load the game, but you cannot save, as I found out the hard way when I took Final Fantasy 13 round to my mates, along with my gamesave.

But you're right, it doesn't stop you copying the save to any external device (Including another PS3). It just can't be used with any PSN account other than yours.

Maybe, just maybe fitting a different exhaust in the GT5 tuning-shop will make those road cars sound more like many would like it to sound ( racecars obviously already have racing exhausts ).
At least in GT4 it made a huge difference, not saying the overall sound is perfect but I'm not very worried this will be a huge downer.:)

( Maybe the road cars in the trailer were already fully tuned )

Yeah... it just seems to be the Ferraris that have mediocre sounds. So far the muscle cars and race cars are at least decent. Of course the Japanese cars sounds ok because 90% of Japanese cars sound like food blenders in real life anyways.

I must admit that was funny but are they really in? Not that it matters to me but i have seen some people mentioning it here

Yes, some trees closer to the track are 3D and the ones further back are still 2D which makes perfect sense as you wouldn't even notice it unless you tried to intentionally spot them.

So at Gamescom we get the rest of the deal?
New sounds, dynamic weather, skidmarks, livery editor and the game is complete!:D
p.s. I've given up on 3d trees.;):P

It appears we get the full monty at Gamescom and it struck me this E3 presentation was for the most part squarely aimed at the US ( muscle cars, NASCAR ) and we will perhaps get more European cars at Gamescom and maybe more Japanese ones at TGS.
Not sure this is just me who thinks this is their strategy, but judging from this E3 presentation it might be the case. :)

Fair point, it was very US targeted. Not too much damage though.

You got to admit, we got a lot of good news this year at E3. Much better than TGS 2009.

Yes we did, and my comment about it being squarely aimed at the US wasn't criticism by the way ( as I really love my muscle cars ).
But just something I noticed with 2 more big game shows on the way both in Europe as in Japan and this would be a strategy I can see the logic of.
The final game will unite all these aspects anyway.:)

Of course it was US biased, but I expect more than more European cars at Gamescom, I expect new features too, which I think it's warranted, since by then, the game will be practically finished and it will be a different kind of presentation.(full game and its features, that is)

The game will be finished by TGS. I bet they will announce it is done there. Also I do not think we will see more features per say just more info on the features we already know about.

The more I watch all this, and the more it all sinks in... the more I'm actually worried.

The fact of the matter is, Kaz has made it abundantly clear that his primary concern is modelling accuracy. That's well and good, but I don't need a screw accurately rendered on the bottom of the back bumper, near the exhaust. Having "Premium" shouldn't be a feature... what other game has two seperate tiers of model quality? It's poor planning, that's all; if they realized their models were taking too long to complete, they should've scaled back their goals so that all cars were modelled to the same level. Nobody's going to look at Prologue and say it looks like crap. I'm not saying the newest stuff isn't fantastic looking, because it is, without a doubt... but at the expense of other features.

The Photomode additions being the most frustrating; we don't need the ability to walk! We can place the camera anywhere as is! And we don't need sound for picture-taking! The only thing Photomode really needed was a free-range camera in races, and a re-jig of its interface to more match a real camera. That's all. Not The Real Walking Simulator. The new additions make it sound like they're aiming to turn Photomode into a screensaver...

It's also a bit worrying the car count on track has steadily declined. Sure, there's still the mention of up to 16 cars on track, but we haven't seen it. Even with the Standard cars. We have four months to see how all this changes, but I still have my doubts. We need more than The Prettiest Car Simulator.

And before I get all the fanboys up in arms, this is all coming from a fan, who will almost definitely be buying on release day. I hope I'm proved wrong on all fronts!

Yes, this could be pure waste of time for this gen consoles. But hey we are 137 days away from the d-day ;) let them be.

 Man on GT4 my garage has under 300 cars, and i use every one of them ona regular basis, you're telling me 200 models of uber-perfect cars and 800 or so "standard" (PD's standards, nonetheless) are not enough?

200 "Premium" cars is alot, thats half of Forza's roster, and they black out half the cockpits and arent nearly as nice as even GT Standard models.

Soak it in but dont drown in your negativity.

Yea, KY definitely has autistic-like tendencies. Actually, many smart and creative minds do too. But KY definitely does. However, with these obsessive qualities comes a good product. Takes a while, though.
