Where does it say that? I believe you though, I just haven't actually seen an image, and I didn't notice it in Prologue, can anyone dig up an image for it? :)

Try going to b class, and looking under the japanese championship races, It should give the list, and it will pop up there. Otherwise, as said, go to the showroom.

I think this also suggests that the cars in your garage will be playable in arcade mode. which would be nice.

Weren't we already able to do that in prologue anyways?

Here is what I am referring to:

It says it anywhere it can fit. Whenever there's not much space it's just shortened to the name used in your pic. Otherwise it's always called the full name:

I think if you look at the car in the showroom it will have the "18" wheel option" text. Or maybe it's in the garage. Dunno but I definitely remember this somewhere.

It was on one of the pre-race screens on Nurburgring Demo where SLR was opted with 19" wheels on pre-race list.

Consesus was it is an way to describe 722 SLR Edition, but I still find it unusal because of the well-known GT's name-nacism and such.

Yes it was confirmed.Your garage GT5P cars will be playable in ARCADE MODE.

5 F1 cars 5 430 5 599 on my GT5p Garage.You say they are open at the beginning of GT5 career?
or Arcade Mode.Even if its Arcade mode thats too bad .Like Forza 3 you can drive Bugatti in Arcade mode in F3. It ruins to Career mode and the game.

The 19 inch wheel option SLR has been seen as AI since around TGS then later in the CES Nurb (old version)Thats when we got better footage and pictures which I took a close look at and it isn't the 722. I guess it must just be a wheel option model.

Your only hope would be to chop all but one of each and see if it lets you take in credits if not cars into GT mode.

Wow, an SLR with 19 wheels?!

Same for me!I hate F3 for that!:yuck:
But it's confirmed for GT5.I hope it has some restrictions, especially for credits.

Veyron is only speed, not handling. It's handling is attrocious. Don't expect to beat Arcade Mode and GT LIFE with that one car.

Perhaps one of the biggest misconception around. I recommend reading some of the reviews like this one on Autoblog since most of us have never or will never be able to drive such car (the ones in SHIFT or Forza 3 don't count)

The first part of our route took us from the San Fernando Valley over the mountains and down to the ocean, and it was a good 30 minutes of up-and-down twisties. The steering was perfect, rapier-sharp, and the car does only what you ask it to, not a jot more, not a jot less. As well, you sit so low, the car has such a short front end, and the arcs over the wheels immediately mark the locations of those enormous Michelin's (they're practically right beside you, anyway). You don't need to worry about getting some undue expanse of car in front of you around the corner on the right line. There simply isn't enough car in front of you to hide the right line.

The SLR in GT4 had the standard 5-spoke 18" wheels. The 19" wheels will refer to the 19" 'Turbine' wheel option that most SLR's you'll see on the road (or in pictures) will have.

About the Veyron, I do think it's a bit misunderstood regarding the genre it's competing in ( if there's indeed a genre at all ).
Don't want to go into a discussion about semantics but from the driving impressions/tests I saw and read it's seems to be more a mid-engined GT and not so much a supercar or hypercar like a McLaren F1 ( also in a league of its own ) or Ferrari Enzo.
Despite the hypercar bashing performance figures the true competitors might not be McLaren or Ferrari but Bombardier or Gulfstream.......;)

Yep, the handling of the Veyron in GT PSP is horrible. If it was horrible in GT PSP, it will be horrid in GT5 too.

Like I tried to explain in my previous post the handling may not be to everyone's expectations ( regardless of whether you actually like it ) if you expect it to be a somewhat similar kind of car than the F1 or Enzo ( which are much lighter and more focussed on being "sportscars" ).
And the physics engine of GT-PSP is different from the one used in GT5 ( which may either be a positive or negative factor regarding the Veyron but at least closer to how the real one actually drives in my opinion ).

hmmmm, the Cessna 400 series could give it a run, and the Cess' costs less......however I would 'spect the Veyron's got better brakes. :P :sly:

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but if I recall correctly Arcade Mode never gave you credits of any form or prize cars that could be used in GT Mode in past games, so I don't think you will have that issue here.

I don't recall thinking my pre-order Veyron was a problem. It has been a while since I drove it though.

You are correct. The veyron is a heavy luxury car not a sports car. If any of you watch top gear you would know that it has gone around the test track and it is not at the top like many people would have expected it to be

Yep, and in bold, the main point. The Veyron is a luxury cruiser and a top speed record seeker, so adding a immense amount of power, ride comfort, VAG reliability and all luxury stuff you would expect from a car on that price league, you have a heavy mid-engined monster, focused on getting from one place to another in astonishing speeds. It was never meant to corner. ;)

However, the handling shouldn't be so bad, it will never corner like a GT-R but will still be fast enough on the turns and marvelous at the straights, hello Mulsanne straight, my name is Veyron, nice to meet you. :mischievous:
