Am I dreaming!?  The full implementation of dynamic weather and day/night possibilities is just amazing and was the main thing I was hoping for in GT5...thanks for listening to us Kaz, and well done! :)

I may have to quit my job when GT5 comes out

Guys look at this again:

1:27 The game has a series of special events like Karting Experience, the AMG driving school, The Stig Challenge, Jeff Gordon NASCAR School, Sebastien Loeb Rally Challenge, Gran Turismo Rally.

Very interesting to me!

EPIC!!

People were questioning what PD have done in the last 5 years?????

And there's the answer. So as I thought, those last 5 years weren't wasted and infact, they've done alot more then I even imagined.

I'm with you on that one.
I'm not - motorbikes would be awesome in GT5. Don't like 'em? Don't want 'em? Don't download 'em.

Sounds great, but are they just new names over the old system of doing things, or is the setup entirely new as well?

Glowing brakes?

November come here already. Going to order 30 bags of Drip (IV therapy bags used in hospitals on patients) online and 30 cases of evian water bottles and am set up for GT5.

I knew that GT5 was gona be the best racing game ever, but now with all this additional information about weather, cars, wind tunnel (possibly), anywhere access, driving schools, and go kart racing, over a 1000 cars, 100 tracks, online racing, photo mode, rally racing, b spec......what am i missing? the list could fill a whole page im sure. just amazing PD. this is what all game developers should strive to do. push the boundaries of whats possible for games and the systems they run on. Take the time to make it good, think through all of the ideas, filter out the bull and listen to the people that really count...US! I mean PD isnt even a big developer (worker base). compared to other game developers, granted it did take them 5 years for all of this to happen but still. What a history this game will make.....
Im just flat stuned. someone please punch me because I cant believe we are going to get all of these things for $60? are you kidding! Thats a bargin.......quick someone get me a towel, i think i just came in my pants..:sly::sly::sly:

If they're going to the effort of modeling air temp and pressure into the environment to affect the track, then I think it's a good bet tyre pressures will also come into play (a big benefit to the realism of the NASCAR)

Well everything I was hoping for but thought would not really make the cut is now confirmed weather wise. Frankly, even from the blurry videoclips, it still feels like something we shouldn't have yet in a GT game, looks way ahead of it's time and compared to any other game with weather, including the now (increasingly rubbish looking) F1 2010. Yamauchi certainly does something right when he sets his mind to it.

Unbelievable.

I also think they're approach to the Rally Stages using the track generator and giving you a co-pilot is inspired. Bring on November, I have a holiday booked late November and 4 days off work before I fly out. I think I will be playing GT5 RELENTLESSLY for those 4 days.

I saw a trailer for F1 2010 with weather the other day and I thought that wow, if PD can do as good as this it will be awesome! But look what they did! It's INSANE! Now I can't wait to see what their plans are for Gran Turismo 6... Fortunately, GT5 will probably feel "fresh" all the way until the release of GT6, it is truly awesome.

Well, by the looks of it.
