Back from the holiday and here to share version II of the “Gran Turismo 5 Performance Points Chart”. As I shared before that I noticed occurrence while J2 and I was developing the “World GT Challenge” racing series. After doing some math I found a formula that may be able to break down the PP system. Hours of work the formula couldn't break it down, though I did find how the system groups the cars by performance in stock broke in 100% power, as well 100% power modified. I would really like to share the formula but I have miss placed the paper and I’m in the process of searching for them. Sorry I’m old school win it comes to saving math work. But in the mean time I would like to share version II of the GT 5 PP Chart. This chart is only for street cars only; I will start working on a formula for the race cars including the race modified cars. The chart displays a series of grouping numbers; these groups are based on 100% power out of the motor and you will still get the best computation out of your car and the race. The best way to visually see how the chart works is to build a fresh car, the first thing you want to do as you all do is change the oil first. Once you do that you’ll notice that the PP will go up by 8 points from there you can go full tilt or lightly modify your car. Though as we know the higher powered street cars become very unstable in the higher rpm range, due to that we all de-tuned our cars to make them more stable. After developing this chart I've cleaning out my garage of all the cars that had a stage 3 motor mod or a stage 3 and started over, building all my street cars according to the chart. I build all my cars to either stage 1 or stage 2 motor pending on the car and what best group number for that car. Any car build with a stage 3 motor is a top speed car, which I now call “X CARS”. After a few races I really noticed the performance difference between my car and other cars that had power removed or weight added to fit in a solid or locked pp group. (Example solid/locked group number 550) After break-in of a few cars I started to re-tune the suspension to deal with 100% pp from the motor. After a few races I got more comfortable with my sets and started to push more. I never had more fun with GT 5 than the first time I got it. I started have a lot more close races and all out better performance. I started to win more races due to the motor being at 100% power and a well balanced set. With the motor optimizing torque throughout the curve allowed me to set my car to get in and out of corners better while being in the sweet spot of the power curve. This made the cars more stable under more than normal throttle and more predicable under heavy throttle. Being able to pull you car from a slight snap under heavy throttle is always pleasing. Last thing; I will share my test car data later once I get it all typed up and some photos done of the test cars. OK take a look at the chart or download it and build some new cars and break them in.

It's been a long day sorry I forgot about this. The group numbers in yellow give the average increasing number for oil change, weight removed, power adders and exe. The numbers in blue are the group numbers that the cars will fall in at 100% power.

Sorry , i don't see how this can help , explain better please what is it for. How can we use it to help to tune a car, all this information appear when we buy parts anyway..... I don't understand.

My head hurts now...very interesting information. But not extremely relevant (but how much stuff on GTP is?) Also, just for clarity's sake, please break down your original super-paragraph into a more organized, easier-to-read version. I found it very hard to keep my place without looking down at the chart. I went back and couldn't find it. I downloaded the chart and couldn't really comprehend it.

Yes the yellow highlighted area gives you the the average PP for every part installed pending on the car. The area highlighted in blue give you the 100% performance PP factor or group number (Group of cars). Basically you will not find a dominate car within a Group PP number. I'm working on some tunes for three different cars within three different Groups. All the cars will have full weight, exhaust and air intake parts, though the motors will be only be tuned stage 1. All cars will be broken in at 100% power and a final challenge time will be given to see which driver or tuner can beat it while running the same tune that is given.

I think this post is about how to get the maximim performance out of a car for a given pp???
Otherwise i have absolutely no idea wtf OP is talking about.
