GT5 Private server

Hello everyone, this week i started play again gran turismo 5 and almost reached 40 A spec, as a completionist i want 100% everything.
Unfortunally i noticed there was 2 online trophies not obtainable 'cause the servers were closed.
Searching online i read they made a private server for different ps3 games (links below for bulletstorm, metal gear online and demon's souls).
I wonder if it's possible make one for GT5 or if someone already tried with no success, right now i am testing dns stuff with my console, any help is really appreciated!

It won't happen it just won't. Unless you know the structure of everything related to online which is a lot. I wouldn't say impossible, but it will be hard to do. Someone may do it or not, but with everything how it is. I think GT5 servers will not be resurrected any time soon.
 
At least the possibility of making lobbies and invite friends and share things for getting the throphies.
I created this thread for looking to someone with enough knowledge to experiment with me.
Even if it's hard it's a good way to start.

Till now we managed to decrypt both game (gt.vol file that contains most of the files) and the executable eboot.
We're learning how his connection with the server should be.
It could be good if someone sniffed the online packets before the shutdown but still didn't found someone that did it.

OH crap, so it doesn't work?. Dangit. What does the OP link to then? What is that Discord server all about?

From a practical standpoint, why doesn't Sony reopen old servers? Does it cost more money than they'd reap back from us? That'd be my guess.

I haven't looked at discord thing because I'm not really expert and couldn't help but my guess is they gave up.

As I understood those servers are very easy to maintain and wouldn't cost them almost nothing(PD wouldn't feel that at all) .. I guess they just shut down everything regarding gt5 and 6 and ps3 in general so people would buy gts and ps4 which is IMO not that good for just casual racing like online on gt5 was.

GT5 is back online if you are talking about that.
Go check out Master Mod. It's possible to find race almost any time of the day.

Unfortunately it's little bit more complicated than that. You need to mod your ps and gt5 little bit and have laptop connected to PS to set it up. Bit it's not too complicated. I'm noob at this stuff and I did it with not much struggle.

Awesome! I might look into this. Is there a way you can link something on how to do so? Also does this allow only online races, or everything including the online dealership and stuff as well?

Start from here and than if you stuck somewhere go to YT, there's also discord on this with bunch of friendly people who can help. There's lots of us already in this. For me it's better fun than GT Sport.

Thanks! I will gladly join the discord server as well as im big into discord and into gt5 XD Been working with a family member to get good enough car(s) to do the 24 hour Le Mans race

See you there than, feel free to add me, I have same user name. Also I'm big on GT5 too. I did 98% game progress without online bonuses, with grinding days etc. Only few races left to do I wanted to do with my friends because they're too long for solo racing and I wanted to go in one stint and that's only reason I gave up on 98%.. I even grinded stupid bspec part to lvl 37.
