I am the proud owner of a (1968) HK Holden Monaro with no power steering and whenever I play GT4 or Enthusia (I use the DFP steering wheel) I have found that the self centreing force feedback is a little bit slow/laggy as opposed to real life.Technically if im driftin sideways I have found in real life that I just let the steering wheel go and catch it when i think the opposite lock is sufficient.I havent found a race sim that truly replicates this.My question is will GT5 provide, and will gamers want, realistic FF?????

I also noticed this effect. Normally, if i release the wheel during a drift, the car´s direction will come back softly to center position, opposite to what happens in GT4. I think Polyphony must have noticed that (they have professional drivers in their facilities everyday) and must be working on it. In fact, in GTHD there are slight changes in handling towards solving this.

I had been reading article about Logitech G25 and they wrote that it's much faster and slightly weaker than DFP. When GT5 will be done, I'll buy it plus PS3 plus HDTV and will try it :)

HK Monaro, nice.

I am a proud owner of a (1971) HG Holden Monaro with no power steering, I am just glad the DFP wheel is thicker than the Monaro's GTS (pencil) wheel and doesn't have metal spokes that come spinning back to hit my knuckles.

Following on from 'Red Baron':

The G25 might be closer to real-life. It has 2 higher spec (simulation grade) FF motors that work faster/ quieter. It works well with GT4.

Hi vipergtsr01,

laughed hard about HG steering wheel.....I am currently in the process of bolting DFP wheel to the HK....I'll let u know how it goes!

umm the G25 fixes that problem, its a lot easier to turn and drift.
