One thing that really annoys me about GT5 is that you cannot rotate your camera to look around the car, you can only look forward and backwards. And if you want to look sideways, you cant see the car. A rotating camera is also needed when looking at your car in the garage instead of watching the camera pan at random parts of the car.

A rotating camera is a must because you cant admire the aesthetics of your car properly with the current cameras. Forza 3 does it pretty nicely and so can GT5 if they want, but they dont:ouch:

I could be wrong, but i THINK ive seen a video from the GamesCom where the player looked to the left and right in chase cam, i will try to find it.

Btw, solution for this: Photomode.

I fully agree , I want spin the camera around the car , to see the blury rims spinning and all that , and to see the car in its full beauty :D

It's a demo, wait for the complete game and see what it has to offer.

As said, that is what photomode is for and it is to be better than GT4 if I correctly remember what KY or PD stated.
In GT4 there are around 64 views. I could have that number incorrect but it's close.
You may know this already, and I don't see GT5 having less content.

Here is a GT4 sample.

Im pretty confident that the camera will be freely movable in GT5s photomode (plus pre-set angles). Just like in MS:PR, WipEout HD or the most extreme and cool example, Uncharted 2.

Umm, don't we have that in GT5:P? Most likely it'll be in GT5.

If it's rotating camera in the car interior view yes you can. But the controller isn't set by it's default for that option. But the only problem is you can only look left/right of the car. Not up and down. There's really no point for the up and down option though. Just go to the option menu and either set you right analog controller to left/right. I usually set L1 and R1 button left and right. It's really useful.

I mean the outside of the car. And as i didnt play GT4, could someone please explain what photomode is. Can you do it mid race or is it a completly different mode???

If you save the replay of the race, yes.

Though of course if you want to find out about GT4 Photomode, we do have an entire forum for it...
