GT5 Save Data

So I have a copy of my save game (Just after the patch was released), and solf the game along with my PS3 last year. I just recently bought a new PS3, but cannot copy my save game to this PS3 from my USB.

However, this isn't your usual thing where people download other peoples save games.

This save game was used on the same PSN ID I am using now, so should work? Unless the save game is not tied to your PSN ID, but is to your console? My new PS3 is on FW 4.11 (latest one) with the latest version of GT5.

Any ideas on how to get this working would be great because I have around 1200 days played on my old save data, and don't want to start again

Alright on my new PS3 I've got a different ps3 system login/username that is linked to my original PSN. If I create a new system login with the same name, will I need to take the PSN off the new username and attach it or does it just require the old username? I'll try it out later and let you know on the progress.

On your new PS3: make sure your ''user name'' and ''Online name/log in'' are the same as the old PS3.

Start a new GT5 game and log in.

Exit game and you should now be able to over write the save with your old save on your USB

It just will not let me copy my save data from my USB to my ps3 via the save data utility (ps3)

So does your data actually appear on the USB via the PS3? If so then either you are trying to copy the wrong data or your USB/PS3 has some sort of problem.

Ah just noticed my brother has a gameplay of his own saved to the new ps3.. Is there a way to have 2 save datas on 1 ps3 as he doesnt want to use the cars I got because I've completed everything except a few Endurances, and he has just started

Different users mate!

But then it doesn't allow 2 users with the same PSN ID.

I'll try to create a new user (same system username as my old ps3), start GT5, play a bit, then transfer the data, or would that not work as it would save some data to the new user?

1. Have more than one PSN.

2. It would create data but when copied from USB it would overwrite. That's how we dupe!

You can't use a downloaded save file.

Even if you know the Username that was used when the gamesave was saved?

If your account had no PSN ID, the gamesave is locked to the Console ID & Username.

If your account had a PSN ID, the gamesave will be locked to the PSN Serial of your online ID.

Where do you get this information from?

What happens if I delete my PSN account or not sign in or both but still play, will that unlockie from PSN serial and lockie to PS3/username?
