GT5 won't update- corrupted gamedata

My ps3's memory was wiped accidentally and i'm having trouble updating GT5, since the memory was wiped i have to start from scratch all the way to 2.14, sometime while updating it would stop and give me an error saying the gamedata's corrupted, i checked it and it was corrupted so i delete the corrupted data and tried again. later on the same thing happened. i've been trying to update this since yesterday and still no avail has anyone had this problem??
P.S this was the error code that kept showing: 80029564

Try wiping the disk with a cloth, completely delete all GT5 related data, restart the PS3 and try again. Worked for me

kinda small update on this, still won't able to update, deleted all files (or what's ever left) of gt5. also note that my ps3 isn't wired to any router

mdnghtraven, if you are still reading this and wondering; apparently, you have to skip installing updates first because the 2200mb partition is only preparatory for the full game install. Meaning to say, (step by step)
1.) install 2200mb partition
2.) skip downloading updates or stay offline
3.) install main game data (about an hour to install)
4.) play the game (race a few tracks)
5.) exit the game, go online, start the game, download and install the updates.

If this doesn't work, I do not have anything else since this fixed my problem. To think, we had the exact same problem (error 80029564). Good luck!

From what it says OP, I'm curious if your using wi-fi?
