25 new cars? What do they mean by that?

Other than the Scirocco, what car is new to GT5 through DLC?

I'm not taking it out on you, but making a few adjustments to a vehicle isn't a new vehicle to me, or anyone I know. All of dlc 1 were current cars that went through mid night club or something, with paint, body, and better handling. Dlc 2 was ANOTHER GTR, another golf, the Scirocco which is almost the same as the golf, and a fourth or fifth Cooper S.

They may be talking about other free things like Scion FRS, and all the Toyota concept versions of it in their count, but to me that's one vehicle. Four concepts of one production vehicle when it's been solid for a while don't count to me.

They can give vouchers for things that are not out yet. So the release of the XL Edition is not necesserily after the release of the DLC.

hmm thats true, probably you're rigth! I haven't thought that...

But the content for sure will be already on the disc... So the people who buy it will have early access or only unlock it after the online release of a new DLC?.. Thats would be strange...

So...
XL hints Tells us new DLC in early 2012
Kaz tweets about late January 2.03 update
GT5 XL comes out January 27th, GT5 Spec II (Japanese) comes out Febuary 12th I believe
2.02 included new features + DLC cars

I think it's safe to say when 2.03 comes, we're getting new DLC.

Wait a minute a comment at the front page made me think otherwise:
Voucher for over $25 worth of DLC, including 25 new cars, 4 tracks, and more

All of the DLC from October, December, and early 2012

Maybe its just me but that sounds as if there are going to be 25 new cars and 4 new tracks as otherwise it would not be included with the voucher. It then specifies dlc from october, December and early 2012 in a separate bullet point.

Dang...this XL edition looks mighty tempting now IF it has the October and December DLC + Additional DLC in February. Though I remain skeptical since it could be "Voucher for $25 worth of DLC including ALL previous DLC." which means 6 new cars and 2 tracks instead of the 25 new cars and 4 new tracks. And then the pessimistic mind tells me that it's all a lie.

Thank goodness I needed to purchase a new copy of GT5 anyways since I left my other one halfway around the world. Though I do wonder if the JPN GT5 Spec II disc gets the same treatment since that would be my best option.

I understood that same like you.

Thats nothing how about saying your game is the definitive racing game about 26 times of this generation before it is even released or reviewed....now that is comedy gold

As is saying "Expect Perfection" and delivering anything but :dunce:

And I love how you conveniently left out the part where he was right.

I am thinking everything we have to date, is in that XL game, and nothing more. The bonus tracks are SPA and Kart space, which many of us already have.

So, to my understanding, in October's DLC we saw 15 new vehicle's/2 new track's & in December's DLC we saw 4 new vehicle's for a total of 19 new vehicle's & 2 new track's.

In the above quote, it mention's "All of the DLC from Oct, Dec, & early 2012", so in early 2012 we may see 6 new vehicle's & 2 new track's??

I hope I'm right, though, will this info be revealed in the 2.03 update? :dopey:

It can also be Sony America and their crappy boy band music marketing see 4 variations as 4 tracks.

How about saying your racer is on the "cutting edge of science" and saying it is "years ahead of any racing game on the market"....maybe in comparison to mario kart :sly:

I want Pikes peak hoping its in that box. The box art looks decent but there are some really creative pictures here on Gt planet and they could have stood out much more in my opinion. I am not going to lie but if this had amazing box art I would buy it just for that :)

Funny you post that meme while failing yourself.

You see, FM3s tyre modelling is far superior to even GT 5 spec 2 and it's how old?

^^I believe Pike's Peak is likely, assuming there will be 2 new track's, and maybe the Test Course would be the second track.

I wonder what the 6 new car's will be, I read somewhere on the forum that PD were seen modeling the Alfa Romeo Mito, apart form that...weren't they going to put the Honda HSV in the game, but had no time??

:)

Every thread it seems like :\
Can we get back on topic to not fighting like 9 year olds over who has the better hotwheels collection ?
As for cars, I'm with chriz. Mito, maybe the HSV, and who knows what else, maybe the BRZ GT300 ?

Surely the Test Course is all over grown with weeds and shrubs by now? It's not been used for so long?
:):):)

BRZ and HSV the More 'Likey' Options at the Moment Oh and Ferrari could force their FF aswell which isn't bad at all

I would put my bet on the alfa romeo Mito as well considering PD has already modeled the car. (As stated in a few posts above)

I'll be getting GT5 XL anyways, Purely for Collecting'ness.

I can see where this is going.. I thought this was about GT5 XL? Ignore him and move on, replying to his posts is what he wants you to do, so just ignore him and he'll get bored and move on.
