I believe is all matter of time until KY convince them that damage is in fact a good thing. This is because damage represents a part of driving reality so without it it would be like something very important missing from the game. Anyway I strongly believe that in GT5 all cars will have damage but as KY said it may not be equal to all the cars but that is fine with me unless it doesn't make the game unfair. Also I think that GT5 Team is doing their best in order to give to us the best GT game ever to be made with all these things you have been dreaming for (dynamic weather, damage ,better AI, better physics,....). Moreover there is no point to compare GT5P with Forza 2. The only way we do that is because the games are on different consoles and we want to say which is the best bla bla bla. The answer is of course the GT5P as far as the driving experience is concerned and Forza 2 in the way that gives the player the ability to customize it's car and it has many more things to do while playing the game. As the hole game experience I would choose the Forza 2 but I would always been missing the great gameplay of GT5P. Moreover you can understand from the time the devs spend to create each game which of the two games has potential for a big stunning experience and which is good and fun but it's main goal is to give a game every two years and make money in order to start the next Forza. Both thoughts are good but up to now you should know that the GT5 is going to be a massive game that will change every car game on the market.
