GT500 with GT300

They modeled the Super GT cars so well but while designing the races for them left out a big factor. I would love to see races where you could choose whether you want to race in the 500 or 300 class but race along side as they do in the real series. Given, they would have to make more GT300 cars to have enough attendance but I dont see that as being an issue. They already have a few GT300s then the rest are Porsches, Ferraris, and Lambos. We have the Lambos and Ferrari so just throw some liveries on them and de-tune. I know you could form events like this online but I pretty much gave up trying with people. What does everyone think about this and do you think it would be a good addition?

There's a thread for other suggestion at the top of the previous page.

I think they could've, and should've done something like this.

We need more realistic leagues and events, and also customizable events. If licencing is the main issue to this, use the RM cars to emulate leagues and "divide" them in categories.

CATEGORIES, that´s the thing we need, not a PP system. LM´s race with LM´s, GT500´s with GT500´s, and so on.

Then make races with mixed categories as SuperGT500/300 in which all cars race together and then the results are separated to each category.
Or FIA GT cars with GT1/2/3 and LM. One race with all those cars and each category has its winner not depending in the overall result.

We just don´t have that. Not even a realistic timer option in which you can see at what time is running the pilot in front of you...just the 1st one which is 8 positions in front of you at 50 seconds..."the rabbit".

That´s the thing, PD needs to re-visit race features, we have a realistic looking game with arcade style of racing mixed series because of a weird PP system. Cars from 90´s shouldn´t be racing against XXI cars. As entertained as it can be is not realistic at the end of a race.
We can make them race together of course, why not?, that when you want to have fun, but in a more realistic way to emulate real races you need to divide each category.

Also for something like that we need more cars on track. But the PP system is something that I don´t like for sure.

I also don't like the PP system. It needs to go.

You're right about that. If I can tune a sport sedan with weight and power equal to the race cars in the game, I should be able to race those cars. Not 12 Veyrons and a Pagani, 2 F1's and a Caterham in Arcade Mode.

People, we need to realize there's no need of a PS4 or GT6 for doing GT500 vs GT300 If only PD wanted we could do that already. There's no hardware improved needed. It's a matter of LACK of features and BAD decisions made by PD. Arcade mode already gives you 15 cars to race with. We could do 8 GT500 and 8 GT300 already if only we had a stupid little option to actually choose your goddamn opponents.

Imagine if GT6 won't let you decide them and when you go on arcade mode with your SuperGT car the game gives you random cars exactly like GT5... Imagine that, your beloved Nissan GT-R GT500 Xanavi Nismo against a Jaguar from the 60's !!! :scared::nervous::ouch::crazy: :indiff: :sly:

You know Poliphony right?

You're exactly right HKS. I have to de-tune my GT300 cars (or select sports hard tires) to even get other GT300's on the track. After I get maybe 6 of them, they're all divided into the grid between Group B rally cars, tuners, and drift cars. So I have to use my imagination while playing to even remotely feel I'm racing in a class.

The single file rolling start thing doesn't help this at all, but thats another complaint topic.

I shouldn't have to use imagination for a game like this :s.

We have more than 1000 cars. GT5 could give us endless possibilities already with only a small insignificant option. But the ridiculous thing is there's still some people telling us we require GT6 and PS4 for that. LOL no we don't. I bet most of the stuff we are complaining about we'll keep complaining in the next game/console.

I prefer an open architechture, which IS time consuming, you know (download the mods, create the skins, edit stuff, test, edit stuff, test... etc etc) but with some effort you can actually race the class YOU want against the opponents YOU want.

When it will be ready I would reccomend Assetto Corsa to a frustrated GT5 player. You'll have a relief, seriously.
