I like how they put the glasses in front of the camera, like that was supposed to give us some kind of 3D image on this end. That said, I would love to play some GT3D.

Well it shows that the glasses morph the distorted image into a single, clean one.
Of course you cant see the 3D effect, but how else do you want to film that?^^

Btw. i bet that GT5 will have 3D menus and replays, because theyre running with 30fps, which means a 60hz display could still use this feature.

I was at CES 2009 and saw the 3D demo of GT5 Prologue myself - it was extremely impressive. I think the IGN editors are downplaying the effect it has on GT's gaming environment, as they only seem to be impressed when things look like they are "popping out" of the screen. With GT's photo-realistic graphics, the depth of the cars and environments added a sense of scale and size that was simply remarkable.

Trust me, you want this.

I think the game was playable, but they were not letting people play it. It appeared to be a special development version, with a small, limited version of GT5 Prologue's menu. It was running just like the full game, pulling in hot lap replays from the Internet and running them as "screen savers" before dropping back to the menu for another minute or so.

StepMania is probably a japanese drifter who hopped onto gt5 : p one day and became a legend. he has most of the drift records, in 512bb, 599, art morrison, amuse gt1, and tons more.

I already wear glasses....I don't think wearing two pairs of glasses at once is very practical and I somewhat doubt I'll be able to see with just the 3D ones on, I kind of feel left out with this. I hope Sony let us get prescription ones!
