Hey everyone, I've been a fan of GT series and been a member for a long time but never made a post till now.

Quick question, i've searched the forums a bit but couldn't really find an answer for this...and might sound a bit 'out there' but I just want to get any info or maybe speculations on this:

Since GT5P is just a 'demo' and set for a price of $39.99USD, and since this is the first time that a game in GT series is downloadable, do any of you think that Sony or PD will make any concessions and give us a "discount" on the full GT5 if we have purchased GT5P?? It would be nice if they showed us a little love and gave us a discount for GT5 if we have purchased GT5P and 'registered' it or something along those lines (not necessary i suppose if we downloaded GT5P to begin with) .

Cheers

LOL wishful thinking...I highly doubt any "discounts" will be given.

If Prologue is 40 Dollars, i bet the full game will be more then 80 dollars.. Sure ill pay the full price.. I don't care about Discounts, because PD and Sony are not evil company *cough cough Mircrosoft cough*

Yeah it would be nice to get a little discount or a couple downloadable cars or something but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

nope, they know hardcore fans will pay the full price (and more) for the game, why would they want to charge you less?

theyre selling a demo with 1/5 of the full game's content for $40 for christ's sake.. pretty cocky if you ask me

Look at it this way.. all the cars that are in Prologue will make in GT5, so they are already installed with no hustle of waiting 100000 hours of download ;)
Does that brings a smile to your face? PD is thinking ahead :dopey:

a large corporation is evil in nature. but i suppose sony is 'less' evil.

Sony is one of the World's cleanest and most environmental Friendly electronics company, Microsoft was at very bottom and Nintendo had 0 Points... So yeah Sony is the good guys here I must say.

Unlikely...

But with GT4P and GT4 at least some of the progress and money you'd made was carried over... so effectively the £30 you paid up front was giving you a head start on the 'full' game (paradoxically enough, shortening the game time for GT4P!!, and therefore making it worse value for money!)

GT4P was worth it just for the free DVD, at the time a good insite into the making of the games.

as far as GT5P goes, I've think I've already had value for money from it just through on-line play, and I won't mind forking out for GT5 because by the time it finally comes out my GT5P disc will have bio-degraded!!!!

GT5 will cost 60 bucks no doubt. i dont see a downloadable version for the full game happening either.

Sony, PD, & Logitech could do a game and new steering wheel bundle for $199.99 and I would buy that.

I plan on getting the new wheel when GT5 comes out anyway. I'll spend the rest of my prologue days with the DFP till then.

GT5P will most likely give you extra credits to start will in the full GT5, like GT4P did with GT4 full.

I'm paying £17.99 which is around $35.99 for the game in the uk. in GBP our price is cheap as chips, for whats in the game.

I doubt the USD price will be over $30.00, because of the extra customer numbers in north america.
