GT6 AE Apex II book location?

Hello all.

When AE GT6 pre-orders were announced, the Apex II book was part of the package. When I collected the game instore, there was no Apex II and the assistant was as useful as a chocolate fireguard.

Did anyone recieve Apex II?

Seems to have been an Asia only thing with their special edition. Quite frankly I'm confused as well as it was said a while ago that it would be made into an ebook, or an app. But Google has been pretty useless in providing any information at all on this.

I think it's gone AWOL and I'm awaiting news on whether it will be available in any form outside of Asia.

I got the book Nice print quality, pretty thick and very informative with lots of technical articles and an in depth run down on tuning for GT6 ( specific ) as well as detailed infos on track and cars ( some of them ) I like the cover too.

There are 2 version, Chinese and English, I preordered English version - by the way, it's from Asian GT6 version, got it from HK online store, cheaper than US store price.

The region code is Japan - BCJSxxxxx, includes Anniversary cars and 1 million credits code inside the game box.

I was suppose to get the book, but I didnt, so I made a call to where I preordered. They said the book is now an app or something, so if I look harder I will find a place for it. It will probably be something like pdf or so... Anyone knows more about this?

Edit: Im not really interesting reading a ''book'' on a screen, so I havent bother much more about it. But Im sure it would come handy and Im also interested about how it looks etc compared to the Apex 1 wich I got.. As a BOOK.

Edit 2: The guys who I preordered with couldnt tell me much more then I could probably read about it ingame or within the cover..

I'm with you on that. i have the 1st Apex too and really wanted II for the collection. Oh well, PD/Sony strike again.

This is how Asian Limited Edition GT6 preorder looks like ( same as mine ) :

The finish of the Gran Turismo Magazine Beyond The Apex book cover, game case cover ( can be reversed ) are different though, the book cover has subtle holographic glitter, while the game case cover has metallic shine On the hard paper cover, it said Game Disc made in Japan + Packaging printed in Japan, this maybe the reason that only Asian Limited Edition preorder has the book bundle. There's Thrustmaster and Logicool logo at the back of the hard paper cover.

But for us outside of Asia, we were promissed the ApexII book when we preordered, and what we got is some kind of an ''e-book'' or something. Maybe an app, do you know anything about that?! I will try to do some digging and see what I can find..


EDIT: I've searched as good as I could and have found nothing about an type of Apex for us to download or read trough an app... If it was me myself who had payed the money for my 15th edition I would contact the dealer about some refunds... I dont really know how much was payed etc etc but I DO know that the pack I got was marketed with the Apex book! So someone kinda got money for a product that dosent exists..

There is this guy selling the books, but it doesn't ship to outside AU. I learned a lot from the 1st book and look forward to have this second version. Does any one know how to get the book (in toher places, or to get this one shipped to europe?)

Offer good until Dec. 31st. $11.00 AU. From the book contents listed above it seems to be a good investment. I did the same as the rest used Google, Bing and Yahoo with no results. I went to the first link and that auction had ended. I found this link today. Says may not ship to US so I sent a message to the seller.

The retailer I bought my copy from said they were told that it is a digital version, available from itunes and android stores (as mentioned here).

I've been searching through the itunes store and can't find anything.

Any suggestions?

I would forget about this link. I have sent the seller 2 messages with no response. Now the price is up to $20AU which breaks down to about $18 US. The listing ends on the 31st. So it looks like the majority of us are SOL.

We should have received the book we paid for with Anniversary edition. Shouldn't change the deal after you've taken the order.

So far the only explanation was because they change the book to an app. No news on the app, but it was announced in a lot of reviews (search: Beyong the Apex app).

However they did sold some books. Allow me to speculate on that: maybe they already had some printed and/or sold them strategically (like the ae cars and or stealth/chrome from gt5).

To get the book ATM one needs to buy an AE from HK on ebay. They cost slightly less than 60€. You can then sell the game and the codes to get some money back, but it's still to much money for me. I think I would give 25€ for the book. I just need to find someone who wants the game and codes to share the cost with me.

No luck with Beyond the Apex app. Every link except one was preorder stuff. The other one was a link to Playstation Forum asking about it. Considering we bought an unfinished game the lack of the book makes it even worse. I have a Japanese copy and it is all in Japanese. It seems that the only way to get it is do a Hong Kong order and hope that you can find someone who would be willing to buy the game for the AE cars. Personally I'm not going to do that. So PD has 🤬 again.

I preordered HK version from the beginning, it has been known that the book was only available to Asian region only It's cheaper as well, why would I preorder US version if I wanted the book ?
