hi, I have a question, if I will buy GT in another language (most of shops here have czech version) will be possible to switch to english somewhere in menu? does anybody know?

Is Czech a supported language for GT? If so then the disk might be in Czech. Normally language settings are available in the settings of past games but these days all games come with a fixed language menu. It really depends on the disk.

I strongly believe that English should be common to all version.
Sadly, I bought my GT5 copy in Portugal, and I think there was no English option there.
I hope GT6 will allow us to select English, no matter what version and other languages they put there.

I bought GT5 in French but have always played it in English. I don't know how many languages are on each version and I don't know if it will be the same for GT6.

GT5 uses your PS3's user-selectable system language. Even if you purchased it in Europe you could have it in Japanese, if you wished. Or in English.

Same thing with GT5, I have Russian language in GT5 if the system language is Russian, and I can easily switch the system language to English and the game will be in English too.

BTW, when the language is set to Russian, the cars' max. power is dislplayed in KW. This is weird - most of us are used to see horsepowers. That's why some of our players switch the language to English to see the power in HP.

I just hope that the game doesn't block me from write in portuguese in online rooms.

It was impossible to write a lot of portuguese words just because they have mean english words or expressions in the midle...like: "assado", "pista"... and a lot more.

Most current games published by Sony (if not all) display their language depending on whatever language the System has on the XMB menu.

Just make sure you have whatever language you desire to have on the game on the first time you play the game. This will also install the trophy set on that language. You may change the language of the game later on by simply selecting a different one for the XMB menu. Sadly however, the trophy set will remain whatever language you had on the first installation.

The problem is the online "blocking"... Do you have sure that by changing the language in the XMB menu, this problem will be solved?

In GT4 you could change the units of power used by the game, can't remember if you can do it in GT5 too though.

Sadly that issue is monitored by an online spell check I believe. Regardless of the language you use.
Once you typed your message, this system will check if any of your typed words matched other "naughty" words on a database. This database doesn't just include bad words though, but several variations of the same words based on how people typed it to outsmart the system.

I know about GT4, but in GT5, you can't, unless you change the language.

I'm glad I live in a country which doesn't have its language included in most games. So that means english version for me, yay
