Hi Guys,

Thought some of you may be interested to see this.Just saw this yesterday for the 1st time here in Australia and I managed to get a recording of pls note the volume didn't translate as well as I had hoped but at least you get the idea. If any one else has ads for GT from where you live then I would be interested to see how they are attacking "your market"

Welcome cuz, it's getting super close now. I know we have heard lots to state it's coming but this really solidifies Dec 6 now!

Yeah, me too. I like the E3 GTS just as much though. So once I get enough credit on Forza 5, I'm going to drive that car while waiting for the Gen F GTS to arrive on either games through DLC.

@sangdude82 was this on New Zealand TV as well? If it was it could be a very good sign of GT Academy heading back here when the Australian one goes live.
 
Is it just me or are most of those TV commercials awfully bad?

Why don't they just summarize key points from their trailers and compile them into T.V. Ads?

That would seem more eye catching, at least to me...

that probably would be a good idea, at least this ad mentions the car and track count, the Japanese ad doesn't tell you anything, that said, Japanese commercials are usually this absurd.

I can't comment on that since I hardly watch channel 1,2 or 3 but it's possible that the same commercial has been aired on NZ TV. I reckon if GT Academy was returning to NZ, it would be done together with Aussies. Something like top 3 drivers from NZ GT Academy time trial join the Aussie drivers for the main event.

Likewise; free-to-air TV is pretty bleh when ads completely disrupt the show you're watching and Sky is ridiculously overpriced. Thanks for the tip, would be nice to know if it did get aired here since that would mean the working relationship between PlayStation NZ and AU is well and hopefully that translates to a good relationship between Nissan NZ and AU (which could lead to an NZ GT-A with Australia).

They look real as opposed to in game. As far as I know P.D. haven't made a Silverstone livery for the GT-R's.

In any case if you look at the commercial you'll see that the in-game footage/gameplay has a Gran Turismo 6 watermark on it and everything else doesn't (including the two GT-R's).

I'm pretty sure it's down to the marketing budgets of PlayStation and Nissan NZ. I talked to the PSNZ guys at the Armageddon Expo and it turns out they've got a tiny team of approx. 6 people. They mostly piggyback off PlayStation Australia as if we're just another state. Based on what I heard if an NZ GT Academy was going to happen Nissan New Zealand will need to front up with more than what they did last time because I got the feeling that they barely had any input in the 2010 one.

Here is the OFFICIAL version of the trailer. Apparently its set in the 1930s... Oh no, they mean 30 seconds :lol:

I don't post here very often but I actually spotted something useful first... That doesn't happen very often :gtpflag:
