GT6 DLC region locked?

As most Australians I contemplated purchasing my copy of GT6 overseas because of the attractive cost but after a quick google search I found that GT5's DLC was region locked to your account of purchase and to the region the game cd was purchased.

Is it safe to assume DLC in GT6 will also be region locked? Has anyone heard otherwise?
