Welcome to the Duel of the Week thread! Every Monday I will name two cars that have about the same performance, and you can compare lap times, looks, performance etc, and then vote which car is better. At the end of every week I will announce the winner, and I will announce the duel for next week. Also, be sure to check out the GT6 Duel of the Week Club for weekly time trials. So with that, lets get this thread underway. Figured I would do an easy matchup this week, just to see how this thread will work out. Anyway, this week's duel is..........

Possibly the biggest rivalry in automotive history, these two have been duking it out for over 20 years and with the production of the Lancer to end this year, who will rival the Impreza? Take a drive in both of these vehicles and let me know which is better.

The Evo X has some sort of invisible ASM thing which slows you down on high speed corners. I'd go for the WRX. Plus the WRX is lighter.

Another rivalry could be M3 vs. C 63 AMG. Though in GT6 the M3 is overpowered so it would win every time.

Bonus Tuned Touring Cars (1 Lap):

Subaru: 0:56.089
Mitsubishi:0:54.879

Final thoughts: the Subaru was the better car around the track but the Mitsubishi was easier to control. If it wasn't for the weight setback the Evo would be the better car.

I finally found the time to get some laps done, my chosen track was Monaco since it is a very enjoyable track with difficult mid to low speed corners and small straights to test acceleration and handling.
All laps were done with SH, no aids and in Manual.

Subaru Impreza: 1:50.865
Mitsubishi Evo: 1:51.230

As a short overview, the Subaru felt a lot better through the corners with less understeer compared to the Evo and I felt as if it could reach higher speeds so if you're going to decide out of the two best go for the Subaru although the Evo is definetly not a bad choice! Maybe after tuning the results would be different.

Well it's the end of the week, and that means its time to announce the winner of this past week's duel. Every week I will give a review of both cars, so with that, lets dive in.

Both cars tested on Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit and after 3 laps these are the best lap times on each car:

2010 Impreza WRX STI: 1:42.278
2007 Lancer Evolution X: 1:43.622

So the Impreza is over a second faster than the Evo. The Impreza seemed to be the easier driver of the two, being that it weighed less than the Evo. The Impreza also had the better sound over the Evo. The Evo seemed to be a bit twitchy on the corners which made for a slightly challenging drive. So the car that I choose is the Impreza. But what did you guys vote on?
