After the very positive use of the feedback section on GT Planets website would it not make sense to now update this to accommodate GT6?

With the voting system trends become clear very quickly and it can feed off from the ideas in the forum. If PD do truly take any notice of their customers, then for us gamers to get our wishes out there sooner rather than later would make sense. Some of the wishes for GT5 had over 10,000 votes, something that cannot easily be ignored.

Some people may think it could be jumping the gun and some of our wishes may well be included or in the pipeline but if we have any chance of influencing PD then lets get started!

Yet the vast majority of them were. Sorry but this feature was worthless, I doubt PD took any notice of it and it's just a coincidence some of them were done or they took the feedback from elsewhere.

PD don't listen to us and thank god they don't!
Turn 10 listen and look what a crock forza became because they listened to what the fans wanted, fans who by and large haven't got a clue, it really annoys me how everyone no matter how uneducated thinks they're an expert these days. Well done you have an opinion that you think is superior to everyone else's well guess what so does everyone else!

We do need some better and realistic engine sounds, a livery editor, a better course maker, a better GT mode with A-spec and B-spec fused in one like in GT4, a better and fair balanced car list with more tracks, more and better customization for the cars and a event creator.

Imagine GT Live being a small open city world for us to hang out in. *.* But I think the track maker will do for me imo.

Why do you keep bringing Forza up, what had this thread got to do with it?

Whilst it's not a good idea to do everything the fans want you have to take notice of the majority views otherwise the majority are going to stop buying your games.

Really? I thought the point was covered in what I posted, try reading it again.

So we end up with a crappy arcade game where we have to go bowling with the cars to progress in the game because thats what the majority want.

Where is your data to support that the majority wanted car bowling?

Anyway the majority of GT5 feedback and requested features for GT6 are not silly, they're basic ideas and PD should have done something about implementing them. They didn't.

- Upgrade standards to premium No brainer
- More race events No brainer
- Free DLC Not really a realistic request but still nothing wrong with it, nobody would say no
- More Race Modifications No brainer
- Drag Racing No brainer
- Fast forward B-Spec Ok not everyone would want this but it would obviously be optional
- More tracks with weather and time change No brainer
- Paint preview No brainer
- More tracks No brainer
- Better sounds No brainer

That is currently the top 10 requests that haven't been filled. The majority of people are clearly not asking for crazy OTT things. Some are, but the majority are not.

Vast majority I see want the game to be more 'fun', that's how we'll end up with dumb stuff like car bowling!

Kaz also lied about the standard cars becoming premium in GT5, unless he's saving them for GT6. But overall, he lied. Honestly. Those are the best ideas on that list, yet they refuse to see them to work on for GT5.

I don't even know what their problem is, but they SERIOUSLY need to drop it. Ticks me off. :grumpy:

So because you don't like it, it's dumb? Personally I'm all for some more fun game modes in GT. Maybe no car bowling but there are plenty of ways they could make some more laid back game modes.

If things go according to how they're seeming now, then GT6 will have a bunch of mini-games in the form of GT Academy style challenges like we did. I can't name them all because of the NDA we signed, but you'll see a lot of the crazy stuff we did when the TV show comes out. And trust me, it's a lot more laid back and fun than just bowling with a car, but also mixed in with some extreme stuff.

Pretty much.
Personally I think better physics would be the most fun, then they can add whatever childish modes to keep the majority happy they like but only after they've fixed the physics in the real driving simulator.

I think they could accomplish a lot better physics just by having a more robust tire model. The one there in GT5 really leaves a lot to be desired. Some actual carcass modulation for starters, then temperature tracking, and we've already gone a long way.

How's this for an idea: Reputation rating, linked to what happens to your front bumper.

Highest negative points for your front end hitting the side of another car.

This could also work for seasonal events with AI.

There should also be ways to clean your slate (because sometimes you're innocent!) by passing licences or completing special 'high traffic' events, or just driving cleanly, or by the amount of time spent in close proximity with other cars without collision.

Then you could go online and avoid all the muppets !! if rooms were rated by reputation.

Also, a good reputation could put a multiplier on earnings etc.

Depends on a definition of fun though. For me the atmosphere of GT5 was dead to me especially in the course maker tracks, and a number of others.

Like in GT4 driving the Grand Canyon Stage and some other Rally Stages were awesome because of the "Human element" at the time(I remember PD promoting that for GT4 before it came out) that is something missing from GT5. Yeah they had waving flags, but that wasn't enough.

As for Car Bowling it could work lol.

This is quite possibly the brightest idea I've read around here in awhile.

The GTPlanet Feedback section could really use a good cleaning right now. This must be considered a critical time as far as getting our input in front of Polyphony in a coherent manner. As it stands, the Feedback section is full of (basically) duplicate posts that could be merged- giving us and PD a much clearer picture of what is desired. Also there are MANY things listed that have been addressed by PD. Lets get those wiped away and the corresponding votes returned to the voters. I'm willing to bet that Famine is up to the task... :sly: haha

The Feedback section should be considered relevant to Gran Turismo as a whole, not towards any specific iteration.
