GT6 horrible UI

I think it's bad that we can choose only among: "display that all staff" or "don't display anything".
It would be nice if we had an option: "show minimal ui", that would show only current lap and position and in any corner of the screen, like that:
L 2/5 P 4/10

with two customizable options: font size (smaller, small, medium, big, bigger) and what corner of the screen (top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right)

and with ability to show other information by pressing button (binded in settings like others buttons), hold and you're will see info until release the button or just press and you will see that info only for several seconds (3 for example)

and would be nice if when you're select that "minimal ui", you still have ability to see "death zone arrows"

and of course in cars without 3D interior display standard gauges (speedometer, tachometer).

i hope someday will correct this omission =)

This option does exist to an extent. At the main menu press start and go to options, the Race HUD. This will control what is on or off when you turn things on and off during a race.

I agree, I feel like they don't give me enough options for the Race UI. I actually don't want my lap times counting off in the corner or anything, or my lap or position, but I would like the digital speedometer be on there. It doesn't give me that option, its more of everything on or everything off, some in between but not enough.

Or it totally does give you that option. Go to Race HUD menu in the MAIN MENU instead of during a race.

In GT5 I could drive with the lap info off, but the speed/rev info on. Now I can't do that in GT6. Why? It's so annoying how PD mindlessly change things between versions.

PD, please give us the option to hide/display every HUD item individually in the options menu (& place them where we want them on screen). Then give us the option to toggle all the displayed HUD on/off whilst driving without having to pause & enter a menu. Then keep it like that for all time so that people don't get fed up with you for all the random changes you keep on making.

Nope, you are mistaken, & to be sure I just double checked it. You can turn the speed/rev info off & keep the lap info, but not vice versa.

No offense chap, but its not like I'm a 5 year old who happened to chance upon GT6 yesterday, there are options in the Main Menu Race Hud options that are still locked out, some aren't given the option to be displayed individually, some are only displayed off by turning off display all, some of them are an all on or an all off. Please mate, I mean it in the absolutely nicest way, read up on and get facts first before posting.

I agree, it was odd that they wouldn't give you the option to turn off certain aspects, but they would for others. Pretty much the only thing I really need in a race is the speedometer and the revs, everything else in my opinion just seems to clutter up, its pretty much all you need if you are driving a standard. I also noticed zooming in on course maps is gone as well from GT5...

And there is the error of your ways Andy.....it's not what you need in a race, it's what PD has decided you need! And, apparently, they have decided you need the screen to be as cluttered and obscured as possible

Seems like a hobby of theirs almost; annoying people with the most stupid design decisions...
One would wonder if they are really trolling, or they just don't realize?

In gt5 you could remove speedo/tach from quick menu, now only through main menu!

Why??

I like to have that stuff off for cockpit view but if I switch views I want to turn it back on!
