Ok, I admit I was one of the Uber fanboys talking about what gt5 has should have and waiting for it to come out. But, that was after a 5 YEAR WAIT. Come on guys it's only been what 2 years? I think we shouldn't be worrying about what gt6 should be until we have a prologue. I mean we have had 4 threads in the past week and the only proof that the game is being made is that Kaz has stated there will be a GT6( honestly can we really trust his word, thinks back to nov.2010). It could come out in 8 years for all we know. I think we all should enjoy our GT5 until there atleast is a GT6 speculation Sub-forum. We may only have 4 threads a week now but it still is unnecessary as it does not pertain to GT5.

mods: lock if you deem necessary. Just bringing a point up before it balloons too much.

I feel that PD caught way too much flack for how long they took to release GT5, and how "Un-Finished" it was.. I don't think we will see it be as extremely late this time by.

But HEY, it is PolyD afterall.

By the time GT6 comes out you'll probably have changed so much that you'll no longer
even think about GT at all.
It will be a very looooooooooooong time, it's way too early to speculate about gt6 imo.

Dont get me wrong I'm all for GT6 but I dont want to rush PD. GT5 is like GT1 and GT3 in the sense that they were pioneers for their respective platforms. GT1 was great but we had nothing to compare it to GT2 blew it away. GT3 was Kool but still didn't feel finished then same old song and dance GT4 Blew it away. GT5 is great given we haven't had a previous GT on PS3 (aside from GT5P). As a forza addict as well as a gt addict I feel even comparing it to the equivalent Forza is unfair and inaccurate. GT6 will be great I have no doubt and just like every other game ever made people will find things wrong with it.

People are too used to sequels coming out every 1 or 2 years, so it's not surprising to see speculation start around this time, especially with E3 coming. I'm not expecting any official GT6 info until late 2013.

^mid-late(sept-oct) 2013 i think and even then we will probably have 2 mor years after that.

Does this include a possible GT6 Prologue? You may have to add another year if it doesn't. 💡

You create a thread saying how we should stop speculating about GT6 and yet you do the very thing in this post that you say people should stop doing. How ironic. I can already see whats going to happen here.

This right here is what the core GT fan have become acustumed to, loooong wait periods, mediocre product and a poor demo of what's to come in the future... Hopefully they've learned from the GT5 experience and GT6 will be a completely new plataform totally independent from GT5, all "standard cars" will be gone, they will drop the 1000+ cars thing and focus on what really matters!
-Proper physics.
-Proper car sounds(no the vacuum cleaner sounds we have are not proper by any means, not a single one of them).
-Proper and realistic tyre model.
-Solid netcode.
-Proper FFB, wheel support and adjustability.
-Properly balanced competition series with modern as well as classic race cars.
-Proper livery editor.
-RM for every car based on the series they compete on the real world properly and relevantly balanced.
-Proper modification system.

I'm guilty of speculating when and stating what i had initially stated. Yes, I see a gt6 coming out but I merely added that I don't see it coming out for quite a while. I have not said anything about the features it should have or what system it would be on. We have a thread for the friggin' soundtrack for gt6. How many of us honestly pay attention to the track list that much to speculate songs that should or shouldn't be included in a game that we don't know when its going to come out or even what system it will be on.

^ the only problem with the rm for every car is there are some cars that dont race at all.

That's true about the million cars we have now, but for whatever car there's no race version recognized globally you can go the Club Racing route skip the ground effects, minimal downforce and do something similar to the Camaro RM we currently have with realistic downforce figures offcourse.

You create an anti-speculation thread, and look what its already turning into. People talking and speculating about GT6. What did you think would happen? You should have never opened the door. I myself, I could care less about GT6 right now. I'm still playing and enjoying GT5.

You see, I'm confused. You posted this thread to admonish people for wanting/expecting a GT game somewhat sooner than half a decade, then you proceeded to just turn it into the same thing you were admonishing other people over. Rather than just post it in the several threads already about this topic in some form or another.

One of which you posted in a month ago in addition to posting in today, so you knew it existed.

Thats exactly what I was saying.

Oh you poor misguided optimist, I was once like you but then I took GT5 to the face.

I agree. I thought what's going on when there's suddenly a bunch of GT6 themed threads though there's still been no word of it.

But let them speculate. It doesn't hurt anyone :)

I'd think it would depend on whether GT6 is for PS3 or PS4. If it's for PS3, then it shouldn't be too far off. It would probably use pretty much the same rendering & physics engine, but (hopefully) with a bunch more more tracks & cars, a proper offline career mode, maybe some more online features, leaderboards, and a complete overhaul of the interface.

Now that the game is online however, I'm not sure if it's a good idea to split the player base between two releases of the game. So it might be more likely GT6 would be for PS4... and a long way off.

Let's talk about GT7 .

I heard from a reliable source that GT7 is actually coming out BEFORE GT6 and should ship by December 2012. Something about an earthquake messing up all the calenders in Japan forcing Polyphony Digital to release the games out of sequence.

Seriously.

Same here guys, just stating what PD needs to not fade away and die a painfull death.
I've put GT5 away and moved on to PC and real sims. With so many great sims coming out pretty soon it really doesn't make sense to buy a new console just to be dissapointed by GT6.

I'd bet we don't see GT6 for atleast 3 years. Kaz doesn't care how long it takes lol. And i'll bet we see Tourist trophy 2 before we even see a screen shot of GT6..

if GT6 is on the PS3 i won't be buying it, it will inevitably be more of the same if so. GT needs a major revamp, especially in the sound design and customization department (livery editor).
