GT6 vs Forza 5 lighting

what do you guys think?
It seems to me that Forza 5 is lacking of detail lighting
the brightness of sky doesn't change before and after car got out of the tunnel
In GT5 it does changes which is more close to reality

normally, human eye should adjust the apature under strong sun light that the sky will be much brighter than when you were in shadow

Personally I think Forza's graphics are superior to GT6 in nearly every way. Granted, the Xbox One is so much more powerful than the PS3. Though, I also thought Forza 4's motion blur and sense of presence was far better than GT5's.
 
To me Forza 5 looks exactly as 4 did, just with a higher poly count. The lighting in Forza has always been weak and it seems the same is true for 5. As consoles become more powerful, poly count has become less significant, and the real challenge for devs today is proper lighting and texturing. Throwing an insane amount of triangles at a problem can only get you so far, and I'm somewhat disappointed Turn 10 hasn't realized this yet. GT4 still stands as great example of a game that is lacking in poly count by today's standards, but still manages to look beautiful because of the supreme work PD did with lighting and texturing.

Anyway, forza 5 graphic is better, the color is more natural.. while GT6's color appear too saturated.
 
You can't compare an 8 year old console's graphics with the xBox One. The colours and lighting on GT6 look dated in comparison.

That might be true, but the result is unimpressive imo. Much is the same way that Kaz claims the engine sounds are accurately recorded and represented - which might also be true but.... (won't open that can of worms here).
 
Oh how I do enjoy these threads, however, this is the Gran Turismo 6 subforum in case any of you missed out on that. If you want to discuss GT and Forza there's a thread for that and this isn't one of them.
