Every time I try to pass the AI, they end up trying to spin me. Just gave up on the game for the night because I passed the leader on the last lap, went through the corner and was getting ready to take the next corner (not braking, going in a straight line, just holding my line because I knew there was a car beside me), then the AI spins me around and I knew I had no chance to catch back up and when, so I just gave up. Anyone else experience this? Seems like at least once a race that I get sideways because an AI is being really aggressive.

GT6? Aggressive AI? You sure you playing Gran Turismo?

Joking aside, are there any specific race events this happens in or is it in general? On certain Seasonal Events I've read that the AI can be very pushy.

It seems like most of the races I play they are aggressive. I'm not the fastest driver, so maybe that has something to do with it, but it's pretty much either the last one or two AI and first place AI that always try to spin me. I'm still trying to learn the game so I can actually become fast, but it's hard to get points and buy cars to practice with when you keep getting spun.

Some of the seasonals are very aggro with the AI, so I tend to just use a Chapparrel 2J, x-bow or Dino for most races, as they just overpower the competition and easy wins for all. I never experienced aggressive AI in career, but seasonal they are very odd, as they also somehow gain this speed boost when given a love tap, giving them 5+ seconds faster lap times..

Maybe I'm just horrible at the game and they're trying to push me out of the way. I was just curious because it's starting to piss me off pretty bad. Lol

Gran Turismo AI aren't the greatest, but they have some sort of awareness. Check to see if you're cutting into the their lines during corners and such. Or it can simply be AI being AI, who knows?

Most of their awareness is with fellow AI as far as I've seen, they race each other but they can really hit you in the corners if you find yourself in between two cars.

I dont think they are aggressive , useless and stupid maybe but they were born that way so dont hold it against them

Are you using the tunes posted on this site? They will definitely make you more competitive. The AI can be a little aggressive. I race them way different than I race humans. Put'em in the wall if they're banging you up.

Perhaps you to slow in the corners and you are using Stock tunes or as @Ledbetter said, tunes will definitely make you more competitive and faster around corners.

I use the stock tunes because I just go the game a few days ago and don't have enough money to buy specific cars and parts yet. I am getting good money right now doing the Red Bull challenges. Up to $400-$500K'ish. I'm getting better at the game. Using a cheap Thrustmaster T80 wheel and pedals with no stand. Just using a stool to mount the wheel and the pedals are laying on the floor. Kills my back, but the game is too fun to take very many breaks.

I finished career and I find the Red Bull challenges to be very hard. Try tuning your cars using the tunes posted in the tuning forum. Usually, the threads discussing the current seasonals will include links to relevant tunes,

If you've only been playing a short time, don't worry--it gets more fun the more you drive. Practice makes perfect. Have fun!

The AI in GT6 have "A" but no "I" - what I mean is they have no intelligence so they do not alter their line around corners. If you happen to be on their line they don't brake or steer around you, they just crash into you.

There are some events where this lack of intelligence from the AI is particularly bad - most notably the Nascar races.

As you get faster you will learn to overtake and hold a slightly different line so that the AI can't hit your car, but my advice is to start racing online against real people as soon as you can - this game really comes alive once you start racing with clean, respectful drivers and friends. Quickmatch is often full of people who don't want to race, but lurk at the track edges waiting to ram you off the track - better to look at the online sections of GT Planet for clubs and race series that are attractive to you.

Be very careful - get a decent stand as soon as you can - it will transform your enjoyment and comfort. I use (and most of my friends use) a Wheelstand Pro which I can't praise highly enough in terms of fit, finish and adjustability. It will probably cost more than a T80, but will be worth every penny and can be fitted with higher spec wheels when you are ready to upgrade to a wheel with force feedback.
