I find the FT1 so fun to drive, it's on par with sub competitive cars like the Viper, M6, McLaren, Ford GTLM and RCZ. I drove the RCF for my first time at Daily B and it's super fast on the straights, just can't keep up in the corners. But i agree, using less competitive cars is a lot of fun. Can't let them go to waste sitting in the garage.I'm finding a little more enjoyment in racing the lesser used cars. For B this week so far I've used the 2011 M3 and SLS and the FT1, all fine to drive on the mediums. Well off the pace but actually interesting to race with against the plethora of Porsches
Right, I understand. And no, it doesn't keep them for all 15 laps (in your example). Which kind of sucks.Recorded/ measured by the game. Not sure how to articulate it. Say you’re qualifying for a new daily race and you put in ten laps. Your optimal time is the best sectors of those ten laps added together? If after those ten laps you retry or exit, and then do another say 5 laps. Does it use all 15 laps to calculate your optimal time or just the laps for a single session (5 laps as the example)? Hopefully that makes sense?🍻
It's nice to have something other than RH used for once, as it makes so many more cars usable. The 2011 M3 and FT1 are barely driveable for me on Hards as there's just no rear end grip, but the mediums improve it so much. I don't know why PD don't use softs in these short sprint races though.I love Catalunya in GT3 cars with RMs. Something about this track just works for me. I've got a decent QT, and it seems I improve on it fairly regularly. My trend for this week is looking much better.

Havent tried the lexus yet but normally on other tracks it is faster in a straight line but lacks quite a bit to the nsx and gtr in corners. Will have to try it.For anyone who doesn't wanna use the NSX Concept in Daily C, the Lexus SC430 is actually very competitive and the NSX GT500 is quite fast aswell, but lacks in the corners. The older GR2 cars are very fast on the straights, quite faster than the modern GR2's. The SC430 can rival the NSX Concept on this track in corners and speed while the NSX GT500 is a bit harder to master in the corners but is also faster than the NSX Concept on the straights. Also, it sounds the best out of them all
This is very much my experience this week. Some races are good but many end up in pileups.Finding Race B good fun, yet incredibly frustrating at times. But I guess that's online racing with randoms...
Tired of people in front making a mistake, then pulling back on to the racing line at reduced speed to block you, leaving you nowhere to go but into them or lose time braking or avoiding them. This is then nearly always followed by a car that was safely behind forcing their way through and knocking you to the side because you've lost speed. Rinse and repeat until you're nearly last...
I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said. Certainly my favorite this week, though with a current head cold I couldn't handle the speed of it tonight to I did race B instead. There was a lot less sportsmanship in B than what I saw in C. I think you are right in that the brutality of it keeps the riff-raff away. That's how I like it (though at times I can be one of those riff-raff ).Race C this week is an absolute joy to play.
It wouldn't be anything to do with a ban you just wouldn't be able to access the PSN at all, it wouldn't crash anything.Ok this is getting frustrating I can now only do 1-2 races in a row queue for the next one and get a complete application error, game dies and sends the report to Sony and PD.
I have changed zero on my network, hardware. Cleared old games.
The only change I made was to record screen captures in 4K and I've turned that back to HD.
Ideas, thoughts very much appreciated.
Edit:
I did get a 3 day PSN ban last week for messaging someone and calling them an expletive muppet....might be related I suppose
Edit 2:

Are you referring to the blue and red timer during qualifying that’s in the middle of your screen that constantly changes? As far as I’m aware of that timer records, how far ahead or behind you are at that specific point compared to the fastest lap that session. from the fastest lap during the session, not your recorded fastest lap. So that’s confusing as ****. So basically, you can use that timer to determine how fast or slow you get through specific corners, but if it goes blue, that doesn’t mean that that sector is faster. Sorry it’s probably doesn’t make that much sense. Hardly making sense to me trying to get it out of my head well hopefully this helps. Please tell me if I’m completely wasting everybody’s time or you need to try to clarify myself. I have a such a hard time articulating the things I would like to get out of my head I don’t know.🍻In GT Sport, when qualifying, there was an option for "best car time" (or something to that effect). GT 7 doesnt have that option. I am always confused on the blue sectors times, example if you get a blue sector time, the optimal time doesnt change, quite often. You would think that it would signify a new best sector time for the Q session. My guess is that the blue sector times are relative to the best lap sector times, which implies that unless the lap time improved, the optimal won't change. Still confused..
that race C is nearly exactly the wednesday's manu (gt2=15 laps). I don't think they've tied those together so closely before. Not complaining, WG on softs is fun! And great practice, but of course now everyone will be dialed in.This is what I am seeing:
Dailies for the next week (06/26/2023):
A - Sardegna Road Track C, BoP On, viper gts '13, Sport Hard, 5 Laps
B - Leguna Seca, Grp 4, BoP On, Racing Soft, 6 Laps
C - Watkins Glen Long Course, Grp 3, BoP On, Racing Soft and Hard Both Mandatory, 10 Laps, 1x Fuel / 6x Tire Wear
Not too bad!
