GTbyCitroen in Movement

I have found what may be the first video of the GTbyCitroen actually in movement. The engine can be heard (and damn it sounds good):

The guy in the video says that we will most likely never see this car on the streets (those were his exact words, but he said in a way that was meant to sound more like, "we will never see this car on the streets"). A couple other things he mentioned:

The GTP5 version runs on hydrogen and has 800 horsepower, while this prototype has some "secret" (as in unknown, not familiar, funny looking, etc.) V8 engine with only 550HP.

That the guy that was driving the car is the only person that knows how to drive it, because the gearbox is tough to operate and can be easily damaged (I think there is no gearbox to operate in GTP5).

This car does not have a reverse gear, so if you get stuck somewhere then you would have to push it.

The model was only built so people can see it in motion.

It is about 1 meter high and 5 meters long.

He also broke the door handle while trying to get out.

He says that take off still feels more like taking off in a jet then in a car.

This car would only become a reality for a Le Mans event. I dont it would ever go into production.

I'd guess that's because it's a supercharged V8.

That the guy that was driving the car is the only person that knows how to drive it, because the gearbox is tough to operate and can be easily damaged (I think there is no gearbox to operate in GTP5).

That's the way, make a supercar only you know how to drive, what a champion.

I would love to see the 550 BHP version in GT5 as well. So that this concept is more real then the hydro one.

I was in disbelief when I saw he broke the door handle. I thought "You idiot! Thats the only one of its kind in the world and you broke it??!!!!"

I dont even think the door handle was real, it was just a piece of plastic stuck to the door and the car has to always be opened from the outside.

I must say though that engine noise was sweet!

nice find... wish they did have the V8 one in GT5P because thats always been the problem in other GTs, theyd have a Prototype but how could they possibly know its performance.. and the GT by Citroen is pretty fast in the game so its giving it an advantage that it doesnt really have.... i think Concept cars shouldnt be allowed to race, just strolled around in like this...

Wow, very nice, but I still think the fuel cell car is just amazing. 800bhp from 100% emissions free/and renewable source(potentially) has got me intrigued.


Let's hope this becomes a reality!

Yay, another car I won't be able to afford or have time to afford but oh well, hope to see some in the US just for pictures. Wonder if they saw the huge feedback they got on the car and thought "ah hell, lets make more"
