Sub-Zero because it's the only giant android I know of that doesn't look gigantic, and doesn't look stupid.

Also, Evangelion fights are AWESOME, dare I say the best fights I have ever seen in anime (I don't watch too much anime though). The series as a whole is Cool and not Sub-Zero just because it left me with a "I've seen some 🤬" taste in my mouth, but this thing, is awesome.

EDIT: Even the knife sounds cool. "Progressive Knife", 1080p 🤬 yeah, baby.

I'm not big on the mecha genre, but without getting into any history and judging solely on the visual design, it's totally sub-zero. Unique colour-scheme, unmistakable from other series, has a ferocious facade.

There are a lot of freaky, often disturbing shots in NGE, but arguably that one of the blood splattered Unit 01 wrapped in bandages is the freakiest (barring that shot from EoE. If you've seen it, you'll know the one). It really looks like it's about to chomp it's way first through Misato and Hyuga, then the TV, then into you. It's the single eye that does it.

Exactly. I think I know the one you mean, and yes, that was just crazy. Never in my life I would have imagined "giant robot" to be paired with "insanity, nightmares" and so on. Which is why this thing is so cool.

Also, it is still from an anime. And outside of this and Gurren Lagann I am not keen on mecha in the slightest.
