Normally I don't like American V8's, but I think this time, I'll open an exception, because arriving at your destination with a thunderous V8 noise and that Italian beauty and you'll be considered the king of cool, even to the average Joe

Unsightly hood penthouse on the 7 litre models and only a claimed top speed? Ick.

The 327/351 engined Series I alone brings it up to Sub Zero. Those were pure class.

American Engine?
Italian Body?
Speed Record Holder?
Pontiac-esque Nose?

Sub-Zero.

The car doesn't get enough recognition. Sad, considering how sexy it looks and it's big-banging Chev V8. Sub Zero

The proof in the pudding (or is it pasta, in this case?) that you CAN have Italian design with an American V8 without looking like a complete tool. My only gripe with this car is picking my favorite series; Like the 1st's class, but I'm not quite a fan of the wire wheels, love the pop-up headlamps on the 2nd series, but I'm not sure about the big hood scoop you get if you pick the big 7-litre engine.

And should you pick a 7-litre engine? The other V8s do a perfect job, after all this isn't meant to be a speed machine (I know, speed record holder, but my point stands). Buy one of the smaller engines and you'll have a car that can cruise to any road you want. I'd recommend the Stelvio Pass for that "godly experience" feel. And god, I miss Bertone's designs... :(

Put the Iso on the finest fridge available, please. Sub-Zero!

Went for SZ so fast, I almost fudged it. Gorgeous Italian styling, insane performance particularly from the 7-litre, and I've always had a soft spot for European cars with a big US V8 shoehorned into them. Some think it vulgar but it's often a match made in heaven.

There are plenty of reasons this deserves SZ votes, and most of them are listed in this thread. One important one that's missing though: the name. Such a sexy-sounding name deserves to be said more often. Just imagine the [attractive person] walking by and asking what this glorious machine is, and you can slowly draw out this glorious combination of letters with the assuredness of a Bond villain.

The complete name -Iso Rivolta Grifo- is even cooler.
