You win the Opel Calibra in the Opel speedster mfg'er cup. The Astra I think is one of the already unlocked cars, no? Unless it's from a liscense test. I can't remember.

I think it's unlocked as well, you just buy it from the Opel dealer.

can't wait to get to racing.
I haven't been able to try out my cars yet though.
Hopefully that won't hurt me in the first race.

I just got finished testing my newly aquired Opel Calibra. Its a bit of a handful on technical courses, but it shines on smooth layouts:tup:. I'm gonna aquire the Alfa Romeo 155 Next, thats if I can remember how to aquire it.

La Festa Italiano {europe}
Alright. Just won the first race.

Edit: Final car choice for the K-klasse has been added to post 23.

I thought I'd better give this one a go.. Now that I have no schooling committments I should be able to complete the season.

Added my entry to the K-Klasse, also, the deadline of March 11 is quickly approaching, get your entries in!

Just to let you guys know, the entry deadline of March 11 is quickly approaching. Also, I've finalized the schedule, with dates too.

Hmmm, seems like interestingly Audi is the popular choice for the M-Klasse while Mercedes and Alfa are the choice for K-Klasse.

You saw last season how many races Audi won with Ren-Tec and Delfino, others are hoping for similar success this season.

As for K-Klasse, it's a crapshoot, nobody knows what to expect there.

Delfino will only be racing M-Klasse .. i know this will disappoint many of you .. but AUDI have offered me a renewed sponorship package which requires a 1OO% effort in one 'Klasse' only ... Role on the AUDI TT 👍

My Merc might be old but the money is good :D, i gotta spank it hard but i don't think it will fair bad. Iv just been on an intensive test at El capitan as part of the weekly Race Series (WRS). Im looking good so far running her at +6 power -10 weight race softs.

25.381/ 56.240... i was happy with that.

ps i got a huge top class Merc as me private car :P (perk)

Aw, I was hoping to race you in the K-Klasse, but I can't stop you. I guess it'll be a show to see how good the TT-R is compared against the championship winning A4.

Ok .. ill change my mind , fortuanately my crew chief {a tall blonde girl} was able to do some uber negotaiting with the guys from AUDI ; seems there is room to drive K KLASSE .

Hey RENTEC .. a mate of mine works for a Mercedes dealer here in Sydney , i occasionaly take 'test drives' in all sorts .. the AMG 55 SLK is my fav though .
I drive a VW GTI V5 .. though have eyes on the new STI .

Well, I wouldn't mind you joining me. If you have an Alfa, then lets go for it.

Breaking news!! my team sponours have offered to double my fee if i would also run the K-Klasse this season. Well i said thats very interesting but im really short on time, so they said i don't have to run them all but i have to race a minimum amount of races. Anyway to cut a long story short im now entering the K-klasse.

If possible we would like to establish a team with Fantomas (altough we haven't got the same car) under the name Different Privateers a.k.a. DP's. :dopey:

There are only a handful of hours left, it's currently 8:43 PM GMT -5. All entries will be finalized tomorrow around 8:30 PM GMT -5 (EST).

I think Fantomas should be in the M-Klasse...
See the entry list TS, he is down there among the K-klasse cars.
What's Your opinion about our team estabilishment with Fantomas?

OK, I admit, I haven't paid much attention to this since the start, but I'm curious about a couple things.

1. Those are some long races. Steward to Steward, did you go by length, time, or something else? I'm curious what the average race-time will be if it's been tested.

2. Motorland? Really? :yuck: I'll have to test that one out.

3. Delfino's listed twice in K-class. is this right?

4. What's your stance on part-time drivers? 1/2 season deals or occasional races? Yes, I'll probably be testing tonight and might put in an entry, but I don't know yet.

I second the questions asked by ICS.

Also in my tests of the k class at suzuka i was running quicker laps with the stock 190 e merc then the adjusted alfa yet the adjustment on the merc adds a ton of hp. How much testing was there to balance the racing ability of the cars? Seems like the hp and weights were just evened up.

On another note i know there aren't any real Dtm tracks in gt4 but was there any thought to try and bring a similar feel to the schedule. The motegi west short course seems like a suitable replacement for dusseldorf and would probably prove to be a very interesting contest. Like wise with Motorland, which is already on the schedule, replacing Brands Hatch.

Fixed.

1. Those are some long races. Steward to Steward, did you go by length, time, or something else? I'm curious what the average race-time will be if it's been tested.

We went by numbers that were based off of race distances used in the actual DTM series, the races there vary from 150-175km, the races here are about 100-120km.

4. What's your stance on part-time drivers? 1/2 season deals or occasional races? Yes, I'll probably be testing tonight and might put in an entry, but I don't know yet.

As long as you stick to your word that you'll only run select races and/or a set number of races, I'll be cool with it, I had several drivers last season that requested a part time schedule, but they didn't stick to their word, most of them didn't even run at all.

Also in my tests of the k class at suzuka i was running quicker laps with the stock 190 e merc then the adjusted alfa yet the adjustment on the merc adds a ton of hp. How much testing was there to balance the racing ability of the cars? Seems like the hp and weights were just evened up.

The tuning on the M-Klasse cars were based from the horsepower rules in the real DTM series (cars must make less than 470HP), K-Klasse cars we weren't sure about, we wanted those cars to be slower (obviously) and made a number of about 420HP.

If you have rules from past DTM seasons, it would sure help us out in the future.

Also, because it seems that GTX Driver, ICallShotgun and Bri-Y show an interest in the series, I'll extend the deadline to this Friday (March 14) at 23:59 GMT-5 (EST). The offer is also extended to all other drivers who haven't signed up a chance to sign up for either or both classes.

ICS would you like to team up and between the both of us run a full schedule, I'll run half the races and you run the other half? I think i'd be a bit more competitive with the slower k-class cars but i did enjoy myself in the wrs this week in that c-class merc.

Like i said in that pm, TS, the alfa ran at suzuka in 96. The fastest lap was a 2'02 so if we compare the times from Mugello back then, 1'48, with the times posted in the tests they just finished, 1'44, then we could extrapolate that the c-class cars should run about 1'57 at suzuka.

Now while i can do the math i don't claim to be a Dtm class wheelman. If we could get ren-tec or the other d1 drivers to see what settings it would take to match those numbers i think you would have some pretty realistic settings.
