2016 Update
- The 2016 Endurance Season consists of 25 Events over 18 weekends.
- Each class will be eligible for between 3-7 events (average of 5), with a racing time of between 46-60 hours (average of 51.5).
- Events 1-6 confirmed to be on GT6. Further events will be confirmed as we go, with good notice.
- GT4 and TCN-1 have been replaced by TCN-1 & TCN-2 respectively, to better play to the strengths of GT6's premium racing car roster.
- The 4x4h VLN events scraped and replaced with the VLN series main event, the 6 HOUR RUHR-POKAL-RENNEN.
- Confirmation that MONTEREY SPORTS CAR CHAMPIONSHIPS will be an 8 hour event.
- Addition of 4 HOURS OF SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS for the 'ELMS' classes. And SILVERSTONE 10 HOUR for the TC classes. This is line with additions to their 'meat-space racing' counter parts.
- Return of the Super GT classes with just 2 events; FUJI GT 500km, and 1000km SUZUKA.
- Introduction of four VW Fun Cup events; ASCARI 6 HOUR, LONDON 12 HOUR, SILVERSTONE 4 HOUR, and 25 HOURS OF SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS. These events will be contested in spec 1966 VW Beatles with racing body kits. 14 Teams, of up to 8 drivers, will qualify for each race.
- Only Drivers with the same ranking or lower as the maximum limit for Drivers 1 & 2 in each class will be eligible to have their times count towards their Team's QP time. (i.e. In GTE AM only Bronze and silver Drivers are eligible)
- Rookies' times will only count towards their Team's QP time in the Pro categories. (i.e. LM P1, GT3, LM GTE, and GT500)
- Rookies can fill any spot, apart from those reserved for Platinum drivers. (i.e. Driver 1 for LM P1, GT3, or GT500).
