Hey once again, i'm in a hotel room very very bored, so with the new F1 season nearly upon us I came up with the idea of having a Fantasy F1 game, just for fun, no costs, no prizes. Hopefully someone can make this a sticky.

Rules:

General
1. You can only enter 1 team
2. Team name is your username on GTP
3. Once team is declared no alterations
4. All teams registered in this topic window by 9:00am 9/3/2006
5. You must purchase 2 drivers, 1 chassis, 1 engine and 1 tyre company from your budget of £150,000,000

Transfers
1. There will be one transfer window during the season after the British Grand Prix, this will be a one week window where any part of your team can be changed.
2. If a driver is injured you may select another driver of which the value is equal or less.
3. Values of all variables.. driver's, chassis, etc are fixed from today

Point Scoring

1st - 100pts
2nd - 90pts
3rd - 80pts
4th - 70pts
5th - 60pts
6th - 50pts
7th - 40pts
8th - 30pts
9th - 20pts
10th - 10pts

Chassis

1st - 100pts
2nd - 90pts
3rd - 80pts
4th - 70pts
5th - 60pts
6th - 50pts
7th - 40pts
8th - 30pts
9th - 20pts
10th - 10pts

Engine

1st - 50pts
2nd - 45pts
3rd - 40pts
4th - 35pts
5th - 30pts

Tyres

Top 2 finishes from each supplier will collect points only

2nd - 9pts
3rd - 8pts
4th - 7pts

Bonus Points

Bonus Points can only be added once, even if Driver/Engine/Chassis all get fastest lap, pole position or pole + win. Tyres getting pole position does not count

Fastest Lap: 5pts
Pole Position: 10pts
Pole Position + Win: 30pts + 100pts for race win + 10pts for Pole Position
Fastest Lap + Pole + Win: 40pts + 10pts for Pole + 100pts for race win

Penalty Points

Penalty Points can only be removed once, even if Driver/Engine/Chassis all get penalties. Tyres getting penalities does not count

General Retirement: - 5pts
No Start: - 10pts
Drive-Thru: - 5pts
Black Flag: - 20pts

There are only 2 tyre suppliers, and if you can only count the top 2 finishes, then the last place you can get points for is 4th, is it not?

Or if Michelin get the first 6 places, does the first Bridgestone car get 7th place points or 3rd place points?

150 million pounds eh? Shouldn't the drivers be a bit more realistic (i.e. their current salaries) or something like that? Oh well it's fine with me.

Its quite simple really, say a race finishes
1. B
2. M
3. M
4. M
5. B
6. B
7. M
8. M
9. M
10. M

Then if you owned Bridgestone, you would take the top 2 bridgestone runners and have 1st and 5th placed points. And if you had Michelin then you would get 2nd and 3rd place points.

We need 10 places because, if michelin occupy 1-9 and bridge 10th and you had bridge you would still get points for a 10th place bridgestone finish.
