After some more laps with the Ford GT40, I've managed to get below the 8:05 mark:
Its tough to keep it on the track for the entire lap
I think I should be able to find another second with a good lap, but thinking and doing are completely different outcomes
I keep tweaking the tune for my Ford GT40, trying to make it more stable but without eliminating its energetic cornering abilities, and this has helped, but the Ford GT40 just isn't the best car for the 'Ring because it becomes easily un-settled whenever you touch the rumble-strips or get overly aggressive with your steering or braking inputs.
