GTP GTS Time Attack Challenge?

I did a quick search before I decided to post this. I haven't been active for 5 years when I played under GTP_Shigegaki but since GT Sport is around the corner I decided to come back. I remember during GT5 era GT Planet had a worldwide time attack challenge that was being hosted. Any chance we will see this again for GTS?

I assume you are talking about timed self races that are submitted against other people's times as competitions so to speak. If that is the case one of the problems I assume that might have hurt the time attack challenges of the good ol' days was the ability to... well frankly... let's just say cheat with the likes of certain things like codebrxxxxx disks (GT4) xxxxxxx Editor (GT5) and the like. One thing though... that will most likely be a thing of the past with GTP being "almost" entirely online which certainly will circumvent that possibility in all likelihood. At the same time I don't think it won't matter anyway, cause with online racing, I assume there wouldn't be much interest in time attack anymore.

If you're talking about the weekly WRS Time Trial Series I am pretty confident it will be alive and well for GTSport. Generally speaking, I think leaderboards will be hugely popular in this game if they are available for many car/track combinations. Online racing isn't going to attract a huge, majority type following IMO and most people who buy this game, like all racing games except iRacing, will still spend the majority of their time offline.
