GTP WTAC Week 01 : Tokyo Fever !

Hi guys ! New events : GTPlanet Worldwide Weekly Time Attack Challenges (GTP WTAC) ! Here is Week 01 : "Tokyo Fever !" ! Which one will be the fastest car ? WOODONE or PENNZOIL ??? Let's find out !

1. Track: Tokyo Route 246, Forward

2. Cars : Toyota WOODONE TOM'S SUPRA (JGTC) '03 and Nissan PENNZOIL Nismo GT-R (JGTC) '99 (you'll may chose which one you'll compete with or even compete with both !)

3. Cars specifics:

- Transmission: either
- Tires: R1 / R1
- TCS : at your disposal
- ASM : off
- Active Steering : off
- Driving Physics : Professional

All in-game quick-tune options are at your disposal (Press Triangle when selecting your car to add the car to your favorites and tinker with any available settings).

Hybrid cars, the use of CFW tuning or any other way of cheating is forbidden..

4. Duration of the challenges : this challenge will start Sunday May 9th 3:59 pm GMT+2 and will end Monday May 17th 3:59 pm GMT+2 (one week !)

5. Time submission : Youll have to post your Ghost Replay Data + Photo before Monday May 17th 3:59 pm GMT+2. If you missed the deadline, your laptime won't be in the website (wait few days for more details ).

6. Rules : You'll have to follow the Host and Compete in a GT Planet Time Attack Challenge (GTPTAC), however, because it is an urban track : the track border is the limit of the usable track, don't worry about rumble strips just make sure you don't touch any wall !

I'll be hard pressed to get both times in. I currently don't own either car, but will have the Nissan in the next day or so. The Toyota is a bit further away but will try to get times in both.

Well I tried both cars today... It looks like I made a mistake, the Toyota WOODONE TOM'S SUPRA (JGTC) '03 (503 hp / 1100 kgs) should easily beat the Nissan PENNZOIL Nismo GT-R (JGTC) '99 (505 hp / 1200 kgs)... She's got an almost twice bigger cylindrée than the PENNZOIL...

WOODONE : 1'39.570
PENNZOIL : 1'40.245

Both all assists off, not tuned yet.

I think a LM Race Car like the Nissan 350Z Concept LM Race Car would have been a better match for the Toyota WOODONE TOM'S SUPRA (JGTC) '03 here... But well, hope to see someone prove me wrong !

I have a bit of experience with the Woodone Tom's Supra, but have never driven (but currently own) the Pennzoil Nismo GT-R.

This should be fun! Hopefully I won't forgot to submit my time!

According to what I have now, I'm sure we'll see Lion-Face at least in the 1'36.xxx with the WOODONE...

NB : in a 3-laps class-S single/solo race, the IA has a 1'37.433 second lap and a 1'36.902 3rd lap ... definitely have work to do... I'll check the PENNZOIL but she sure isn't the fastest one on this track !

EDIT : IA PENNZOIL : 1'39.486, 1'39.200

Toyota 1'41.253!!! I guess I should save the exclimations for when I break into the 1'3X.xxx's (yes, I said when, not if). But still, that was first run minor tuning.
