T3: 21.771

Hi wrs-ers, I'm trying to post my time to the bot but it's getting rejected. I'll keep getting messages that I'm not registered. Well I'm I paticipated in the Q and wk1.

I posted this also in the register thread. But maybe this is the better place.

See: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=153651&page=83

Maybe that someone could help me? I hope that I'm not too impatient? ;)

EDIT: My mistake, I used a , instead of a . :embarrassed:
Is caused by my new being I think....

They may still be working on it. I haven't been able to open the Leaderboards for the last few hours.

EDIT: Finally got it to open.

No idea of apex speed without looking at my replay (can't right now) but I'm blipping the brake pedal, as I turn in from the far right of the home straight, changing down from 6->5, early apex taking alot of curb, slightly trailing throttle then smoothly steer right and straighten up for the next apex on the right, full throttle from there through turn 3 and up the hill.

Before the T1 tunnel, I'm braking quite early while starting to turn in, probably 90% braking force, keeping tight to the curb on the left, changing down to 3rd for the apex... quickly back on the power, pretty much full throttle from the apex down to the rumble strip for the sharp right hander.

No idea if that's helpful or not... 💡

Definitely helpful. I can plan the lap in slo-mo in my head while reading your prose, and ... I cross T1 with a ... 15.5! Then back to real life where I can barely manage a 16.8. :dunce: But I'm serious, this does help. 👍👍 Thanks, Vagabond. I had the same question as Anghammarad.

Would you mind writing up a description for, say, the yellow-lined-hairpin-left-after-the-long-tunnel up to and including the hard-left-before-the-long-straight-before-the-last-chicane? :dopey:

Well... someone has to be last! I spent the first hour chasing an earlier replay, only to find I was on Race/Hard. Switched to Race/Med and managed to catch it! Ugh - I barely got a single clean time that first hour. The back end would keep swinging out every time I touched the brakes. Started playing with brake bias (7/5) and ABS and got things under control. I don't seem to do well with the RWD.

Such a shame but I've been unable to properly compete this week. I had a short sharp blast at the beginning of the event but I'm just not going to get chance to improve :( Wont bother submitting with the lap I managed as it was far from being my best.

Good luck to everyone else though! Awesome car and a great track to be driving it at 👍

I improved by a really small margin today but I can't be sure if I touch the wall or not. I think I'll stick with my other time.

new splits.

T1: 16.484
T2: 25.650
T3: 21.725

Here are the pics of the spot where I have doubts. But I looked 30 times in the replay and couldn't really find the proof that I touched and also, I compared it with my previous fastest lap and the data was exactly the same at the spot... The one at the top is about .1 second before the second.

From them pictures it looks ok mate. 👍
I find the best way to look for a small wall touch is with the data logger, normally if you touch you with see a small decrease in speed.

Here's the instuctions on how to put pics in your post although you seem to have that worked out now.

Having not a lot of spare time this week. 30 minutes Trial Mountain led me to the following splits:

T1: 16.657
T2: 25.991
T3: 21.654

I'm having a last try tomorrow evening.

Got about 20-25 laps in. Fun combo, nice and quick. Great idea to celebrate the 1st combo ever!

T1: 16.015
T2: 25.327 (41.342)
T3: 21.019 (1:02.361)

I think I can scrub off another half second if I can really put together a good line. More if I can get a bit more time out of T1. I don't think I have a clean line with enough speed going up the hill into the tunnel.

Try photobucket mate I found it easy to use and honestly you couldn't be any worse with computers than me.

Cheers Shaun.

I went with the ABS on 10 and decided i was going to try and correct the understeer I was getting going into the tunnel.
Went 3/7 BB as opposed to my usual front bias and have seen much better times.

Do you surerly run this in Arcade Mode with the preset car???
I cannot see any option to change Brake Ballance or any other setting.
If you are using a car from GT Life as Favorite, you will be disqualified.

All the best,
G3O

3rd hour for this combo.
I find this combo great to get into a rhythm.
A little improvement in splits but over .4 at the line.
There is another .4 in the lap that I know of due to having faster splits at T1 and T3 but I think I'm at my limit.
I may have time for another hour tomorrow.

16.078
24.968
21.135

Not to happy about T3, been there .3 quicker.
T1 seems to be my crutch, though.
ABS on 2, no change in bias.

Dion, I wonder how Rudi gets T1!
All crazy times at the top, good stuff.

You can change the brake balance of the car in the RealTime Assistance/ RA - I think it's called that - menu. Most accessible on a DFGT wheel, but can be set up for anything! And yes, you change it on the arcade car. Many people have.

DFGT.
Can be changed on the fly and makes a big difference.

Thanks for the info, it didn't cross my mind that could be the case...
I'll decide not to use it, hope next week we can enjoy some car tuning like in the first week. Sorry to bother.
