I realise this is probably a stupid question but i've tried the search function to no avail. Is it possible to play a replay direct on a mac rather than transfering it to the PS3 to play?

Mac user for more than 20 years here (yeah even before OSX). Don't think there's a way to do that. Macs have no problem going the usual way though (Upload the replay to the mac, create the PS3-SAVEDATA-REPLAY root and upload that to the PS3...)

Thanks for that, i knew that would be too easy.

Big congratulations to all of the GTP_WRS members who took part in the GTPlanet Endurance and Karting Series races this past weekend from the Red Bull Ring. Fantastic results and superb driving standards from these individuals, they undoubtedly deserve every point they earned at the races.

Team DART needs a Rabbit ( fast driver who need not comply with our age and disability requirements) to qualify and drive in the Laguna 4 hours in October...interested.?..if so PM ME. You need to be quick as all entrys will not qualify....currently the car is the X Bow but we have requested that it be replaced.:D. You also can be a current GTP_ES driver from another team as long as their team is not competing in that race . Said driver will be considered for a ride at least part time next year.

Have one question: what controller/wheel sensibility and force feedback setup is everyone using?

I think since i joined WRS and setted these to 7 sensibility and 10/10 FF i can't go back to lower these settings :D
PS: just curious

On the DS3 7 sensitivity, but Brandon (ItsAllaboutWins), who is way faster than me with a controller, is on 0 sensitivity.

CSR and I can't go back to lower settings. On the contrary, I keep adding more because the single motor wears down. Or so it seems to me.

I'm on my fanatec clubsport

And run 6 sensitivity and 8 ffb
But I also have the ability to change my steering degree witch I tend to run between 360* & 500* but sometimes it just depends what car I'm using as to what setting il use

It was damp at Le Peite Le Mans

I'm almost on the brink of getting a PS4 and Pcars so was just wondering if WRS are going to be doing anything with that game?

Also, with A/C coming to PS4 and GT Sport in early 2016, I'm sort of hoping that it would be a natural progression to make the changeover.

If anybody who's got Pcars would like to allay my fears of how buggy it is, post away. :D

We'll be moving to GT Sport as soon as possible, it looks tailored to our uses, funny enough. WRS'ers who were around for GT5Prologue with its 5 tracks and 70-ish cars still think of that as the Glory Days, so it's clear we don't need a full game to have our fun.

We looked at pCars and AC when they came out, but neither of them have the replay functionality that we require for TT's, and the online for both are still a bit scary. Among the admins, we decided that we can only handle 1 game at a time for WRS.

There are some GTP'ers running TT's for those games though, for example:

The game goes "busy" for a long time or forever when I choose "user created tracks". I hope to be the only one faced with this problem. :ill:

edit: After two failures I tried clearing the cache (options/network) and... it loaded properly.

Mine has been a bit funny with user created tracks also, every second or third time i go to use one it sits there loading for an extended amount of time and i think it's going to crash but it only has once so far.

Good to see news, finally, of a new GT game coming sooner rather than later..unfortunately, unless something dramatic happens before the launch, the release of GT Sport and WRS migrating to it will rule me out of the WRS for the foreseeable future :grumpy:

To purchase a new console (and probably a new wheel if you are an unlucky DFGT owner like me) is a drag but apparently inevitable. But the idea to miss out on this great new stuff is even draggier.

True..unfortunately, there's no choice but to miss out for some...I figure I may be in a position to buy a PS4 in about 3 or 4 years time if I'm lucky

I feel your pain... maybe not as long as you but surely no less than 1 year

Its not a question if I upgrade but when, with 2 teenage kids I don't find it too hard to justify the cost of a PS4.

My pain comes after buying it. The kids will need a couple of games to play and good luck finding anything they want used or at a discount now or anytime in the next 18 months.

This creates a new problem. The wheel I bought less than 2 years ago is of no use. Now I somehow have to convince the wife that immediately buying a new wheel (on top of all the money spent so far) so I can race on the PS4 is more important than January's mortgage payment.

Buying the PS4 is not my problem its all the problems and expense that owing it will create. :ouch:

Just like you two @nursemorph @roamer2629 I'm very content with our present situation and somewhat dread the migration to the PS4.

@RuddRacer I'm not bothered by the migration to the PS4 as it means that most people will, hopefully, be able to enjoy a better game...I won't be one of them but I knew that would be the case until I am able to work again and that's not likely any time soon. It would be nice to be able to continue when the new game comes out but I can't do anything about it...when it happens, I'll just go back to my other racing games that have been neglected recently as, without running the WRS, there's no real motivation to use GT.

I'm going to start preparing for it by spending less time running each week which isn't necessarily a bad thing at the moment, as my crapiness every week recently has dulled my enjoyment anyway.

Turns out I may possibly be able to justify a PS4 and the new game, depending on when it comes out....but it all depends on whether I can give up cigarettes sometime soon :nervous: If I can manage it (it's a big if as it's difficult to give up something after 20 years, especially when I'm in constant pain...giving up is bad enough but the pain makes it very tough), then the money I will save should be enough to cover it...trouble is it is the only vice I have left, having stopped drinking alcohol, chocolate, crisps, junk food etc as I couldn't afford it...downside of not being able to work for near on 5 years!
