Replay Checking:

1. It is customary for all participants of the WRS to verify each others submitted replays
2. Once you have checked the replay, post in this thread to say that you have checked it and whether it's clean, dirty or doesn't meet the required race specifications
3. When verifying a replay, check against this weeks race specification, check that the tyres are the correct compound and that the power and weight is correct for example
4. If you are unsure about a replay, always seek a second opinion before posting

REPLAY CHECKING
tried to find instructions on GTP...no luck
So: downloaded zip file, copied to usb stick, unzipped,then ...

• try 1: tried to import without renaming...no chance
• try 2: renamed directory to PS3, tried to import...no chance

what else?

@maxskuk If the sending was done correctly - the bot is nowhere near strict about that and when it was not, actually importing the replay is slightly more complex - the directories are PS3/SAVEDATA/ before the actual directory, which denotes that it is data from and for Gran Turismo 6. But I think you knew the directories. Which replay did you get?

Yes: if the zipfile doesn't have the BCJS37016... directory, it's not correctly prepared. In a *nix environment aka shell you may:

strings PARAM.SFO

to see the correct name.

Edit: That'd work on a Mac I guess.

Settle down there, buddy. Just so you know, the event does not go official until results time in the following week (7 days after results are posted). So there is time. And if you want it faster, you can help. Which I see you are terying to do.

It's basically the reverse of the process you use to submit your own replay.

You want the folder that has the long name that starts with "BCJS" and that needs to go in the directory location you mention (PS3/SAVEDATA). Important that it's the extracted folder, not the Zip file, and not a file that's higher or lower in the directory. Don't try renaming things, they will just show as corrupted. Take the folder as it is.

Plug the flash drive into the console, then on the XMB Menu of the Playstation home page, under "Saved Data Utility, PS3" go to your external storage device, press the triangle button on the DS3, and copy the replays you want to move onto the console. From time to time, the saved name might be the same and it will ask if you are sure, go ahead and just do it, since you already have copies of your own replays in game anyhow.

Once that is done, load the game, go into the gallery. Over to the far right of the gallery in the replay section, there is an option to "Import Replay Files". Press X on that option, and import the replays you want.

Again, it is bascially just walking backwards from your submission process.
