Had a disturbance in the form of a dirty lap that was initially several tenths away, now it's been dropped down the board by just a little. Yep, didn't catch that one live.

Sorry for the spam but had to give it one more go (probably last for today):

33.066
57.466

Best T1 so far, T2 could've been faster, but I did something wrong in the big righthander. Gladly I had a really good T3 on this one.

nice to see everyone getting in the groove for t1!

probably last splits before deadline
missed entry of t3 but still improved at the line :)

32.816
57.133

brake bias 4/6

in first 2 hairpins its not better than 2/4 but seem slightly better for the downhill part of t1, hard to say... :)

Blah. The dumb game red lapped my PB :(
It was actually clean by WRS rules.

I managed to improve by 0.1 at the line so I can't really complain too much.

Morning session with a body full of caffeine:

Not much left in there, maybe a tenth in T2 and T3 combined. Getting a better T1 is a matter of luck now. Nonetheless I might not have the time to run this much more during the weekend, so to be safe and sure; submitted and accepted.

Had good speed through the uphill right in t3, lap was looking great. Then, just when I was entering the final turn, my left foot cramped up. Tried to stay focused, couldn't brake very accurately, went a little wide and missed the apex. Still pretty good time, but dang.

The last corner has an apex? :dopey:

My move there is to get greedy and try and brake that brief moment later, launching the car into the cable barrier in the back of the turn. :P

That final sector will separate men from boys here.........

I'm trying to brake as far right as possible, straight line through the S, downshift to third, let the car coast all the way to the left, trying to get back on the throttle as soon as possible...

I know the fast way through, it's just very make or break.

I'm staying left and dipping my left wheels into the dirt. I brake just before the dirt, if you wait until after, the aforementioned launch is likely. As you said, carry to the back, it's a VERY late apex, and my point I was making with my post is that momentum is actually more important than getting to that right side apex. The other risk factor is of course dipping an extra wheel on the left exit and getting red clocked for it. I found in my session yesterday that if I'm patient with my throttle on point, the car pretty much does what I want it to, and will even rotate a bit without losing traction.

Pretty sure I was using BB 5/6 for this run possibly 4/6. 5/6 probably has a bit less upside, but carries less risk. It's easy (for me) to over rotate the car with 4/6.

Kervin I'm sorry if it sounded like I was trying to teach you something: I'm way slower than you guys, less experienced (even when I'm probably older than most) and its me that's doing the learning here.
I was just trying to explain my line, without implying its the best, the right or the fast way around that turn 👍

You didn't imply anything. :) I'm still a bit on the mend over here, was running a fever for a week. So I'm probably just acting a little odd.

I just made a silly post that made it seem as though I was confused by the last turn, when it's more a function of consistency. Since you shared your approach, I thought I would share mine. Those of us who have been around since the Prologue days have a slight advantage at this track, and I think some people who have fast splits are going to be caught out by how much time can be lost in the final corner.

Only trying to help. 👍

I'm also very inconsistent in the final sector. I find it really hard to get on the throttle early.

Question for mods - is it ok if I submit a lap I ran without being signed into PSN? My internet was down yesterday.

Yeah, it's fine. We're still able to verify that you used your registered account and the correct game version.
