happy 20th competition.

these two weeks we're gonna do the VW Golf IV at the request of VW Dragger in the meetings topic.

there is the car. modify it in anyway you see fit.

happy drawing.

Wasn't the new format going to be designing? Unless, of course, it was someone's birthday... I don't like modifying cars, and "redesigning" the Golf IV wouldn't make it a Golf IV anymore.

Hi all. Im new here to the drawing comp. I couldn't believe it when i saw that there was a drawing forum. I love drawing cars. Hope you like.

we could rotate. someone requested a golf IV....so i granted the request....what's wrong with that?

poll for bosozoku week goes up tonight.....because i started it on sunday instead of friday.

elise, if you have any thoughts or suggestions/requests, please post them in the participant sticky.

Okay. I just don't enjoy doing this sort of midification business, and I was pleased to see a new design format. The new format seemed to only be a one-shot deal.

Hey guys, i'm pretty new here as well as some othes, and i've been exploring most of the forums on here and i must say i do like these artistic ones the best so far seeing as i am a big fan of drawing. I usually draw about 2 - 3 hours a day if my schedule permits of course, so i'm not new to drawing and designing. I usually draw cars or bikes, trucks, 4 wheelers, and sometimes boats, but i like the cars the most. I'll be posting some pictures as soon as i can get on to my friends scanner as i am currently with out one, so i'll be posting soon.

TVR and Ferrari Fan, sorry man, but i have to say your pictures do need some serious perspective work as well as other drawing aspects, not to be completely negative because there are way worse on here, but when i post some of my own, i'll give you some pointers

yeah i did, and even though it was one of your better ones, it seemed a bit off. I'll post some of the pics i drew when i figure out how, anyone mind givin me the info. Keep up the drawings though, gettin better man.

I'm back! Well, I never actually left, but I'm back from my artist block. This one got my juices flowing again. And now I have some Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph pens and Prismacolor art markers so I should hopefully be able to do better in the coloring department.

Prismas are good. I use those and some lower end ones (that bleed out ink like a gunshot wound). For how much do you buy your Prismas? I have a great store (that ships to the US) that is most likely the cheapest place you'll find. Lemme know if you're stuck with an expensive store.

Aside from price... I'd really recommend going to an art store and actually try the different kinds of markers and then picking out colors that you like than just buying a pack. They all have different characteristics i.e. blending, tips, and etc. I have used Chartpak, Copic, TRIA, Prisma, Stabilo and Tombo. Hope that helps too... BTW, I can give more info about each kind of marker if needed too.

I have TRIA, Prisma and Promarker (made by Letraset, but the cheap ones). All are different, but it is a good idea if it is your first time to go and try out the markers. What the label says usually isn't as dark as the ink that comes out. If you know what you're buying, then online is fine. I also like having a good variety of markers, so I chose the colours myself, no packs. I have about 50 markers.

Check this site, 2.50$ CDN for each Prisma. EDIT: they no longer **** outside Canada, sorry mates.

Nope. Any position you want. Make it look good dude! I'm SLOWLY finishing up mine. Heck if it becomes to late to color it, I'll just post the inked line drawing.

:dopey: hay... what do you know I can some what draw today! whoo... hoo...

**WIP**

You use curve templates to get the lines nice , right? I thought about using them but i just said, naw. I freehanded mine, although templates make it look a lot smoother.

Nice start you have.

yeah but I copy my original "rough" sketch and even then don't follow it because it might need changes. I'm hating that wip more and more because it's so off... once again. Thanks though.
